General Hospital: 3 Reasons Why Carly Corinthos And Peter August Should Begin A New Romance

General Hospital spoilers say that while Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is dealing with all of her family drama that includes courtroom cases, heartbreak and loss and the possibility of losing her best friend Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), she hasn’t had much time for her husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Likewise, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) seems to be trying to figure out his life, with or without Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). With that said, here are three reasons why we think Carly and Peter would make a hot new couple – even if they had to keep things on the down-low.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Chemistry Between Them

Seeing how Laura Wright and Peter August are already a couple off-screen, the chemistry between Carly and Peter would be on fire. Sure, Carly’s marriage to Sonny has always been rock solid, but where’s the fire and the flame between them? It seems as though Carly and Sonny are only together because it’s more of a comfortable partnership than anything else. With Peter, it would be different. Carly would feel that rush and excitement that she has been longing for.

If there’s anything that we’ve learned about the men of Port Charles, it’s that they always want what they can’t have. Yes, Jax and Carly are in a good place right now but seeing her with a man that is not Sonny might bring back some memories from their own relationship. Plus, seeing Carly with a man like Peter August might make Jax spring into action, especially if he’s worried about her safety and her well-being.

Knowing that Carly might be with another man (and a Port Charles villain like Peter) might make Sonny fight for his wife again. And that’s something viewers would love to see.
