General Hospital Alum Emme Rylan Handles New Lulu Spencer Debut By Taking ‘Mental Health Day’ – Focusing On Self-Care

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Alexa Havins has made an explosive debut as the new Lulu Spencer this week, winning over many fans. With that said, it still rubs a lot of people the wrong way how the previous Lulu, Emme Rylan, was treated. After all, Rylan was under the impression that when Lulu awakened from her coma, she’d be called back on set; however, the soap decided to go another route with the character and chose Havins as a recast.

Still, while it’s not Havins’ fault this happened, and she’s doing an incredible job, it looks like Rylan is coping with the NuLulu debut by focusing on self-care.

Rylan posted a number of photos and videos of herself on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, November 20, stating, “For very obvious reasons, I am taking a mental health day …”

Rylan didn’t state she was doing this because of the NuLulu debut; however, that’s what seems to have prompted this ‘mental health day’ and her social media updates.

As such, Emme’s plan for the day was to do ‘nothing but treat herself’ fabulously and she started by showing fans her workout routine. There was a treadmill photo with a caption that stated, “When I want to flush anger out of her body and run.”

Then, a picture of some weights was posted, and Rylan noted that she likes to lift them to remind herself what a ‘strong bad@ss b!itch’ she is.

GH Spoilers – Alum Emme Rylan’s Self-Care Day Worked

Rylan then posted a photo of a sauna and steam room on her IG Stories, where the idea was to ‘sweat out’ the final ‘toxic energy’. She then showed a video of herself in said sauna/steam room where she stated with a smile, “Okay, I’ve gotta be honest. It’s working.”

Lastly, Rylan posted a photo of Sephora with the caption “obvious next stop.” It’s good to see Rylan taking care of herself and somewhat making light of the situation. She will be missed from the soap, so here’s wishing Rylan nothing but success in her next chapter.
