First off last week was full of action in that sleepy little backwater town of Nixon Falls where Tatum Shank was seen portraying Officer Ralph Finchley. The erstwhile law enforcement officer was hellbent on interrogating Smike (Maurice Benard) about the breaking at Elijah Crowe’s (Dan White) office.

Well, who is on the losing end now that Elijah has been unmasked as a phony con artist? Something tells us we haven’t seen the last of this smarmy himbo, however. The Smike storyline reportedly plays out into summer and something dastardly is sure to happen between then and now!

That is Randall J. Bacon you saw playing Trent the Bodyguard last week. He is determined to protect Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and she trusts him which may or may not be a good decision.

He is one in a long line of esteemed (sometimes dead) Corinthos family bodyguard enforcers.

Roger Howarth made a triumphant comeback last week and we can look forward to seeing his handsome mug in the days to come. He has a new role after being killed off as Franco Baldwin in March.

Howarth is now a doctor named Austin who likes to jog half-naked in the woods at night. What’s not to like?

He potentially saved the lives of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and her newborn daughter last week when he delivered her child. Does this portend a hot new romance on the Port Charles horizon? Anything is possible, and we’ll have to wait and see who he is paired with. Maxie did not say anything about Austin looking like Franco, and it remains to be seen whether or not anyone will find a resemblance between the two in the coming days.

Austin is the third character Howard has played on ABC’s soap General Hospital. There was Franco plus he also played Todd Manning, a role he debuted in on One Life to Live.
