General Hospital Comings and Goings Michael E. Knight Returns, Martin Grey Back In Port Charles!

General Hospital spoilers confirm another major character return as Michael E. Knight is slated to reprise his Martin Grey role. CTS has all the details, including a first airdate, below.

Welcome Back, Martin Grey!

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Martin was last seen on the ABC soap this past March. Before heading out of Port Charles, he let his sister, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), know that he was going to Reno for a new case.

Now it looks like Martin will reappear in the little town on the Wednesday, July 8 episode. Martin was in the General Hospital preview video for the July 8 show, sharing scenes with Laura.

The two are at the Metro Court Pool when PC’s Mayor tells her brother that there could be ‘something else’ that Martin can assist her with.

It’s hard not to think that Martin might not get wrapped up in Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) assault case, as the man is looking for a lawyer.

The Wednesday promo did show Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) solicit the services of Ric Lansing (Rick Herbst).

Michael Knight’s Soapy Resume

While Michael is well known for his time on All My Children playing Tad Martin, a character for whom he’s won multiple Daytime Emmys, he’s also created quite an impact on General Hospital.

He debuted in the soap opera as Martin in September 2019. While he has taken breaks from the show here and there, he always ends up coming back, and when he does, he’s an utter delight to watch onscreen.

Martin has quite the roots in Port Charles as the half-brother to Laura and the brother to the late villain Cyrus Renaut (Jeff Kober).

The three share a biological dad in the late Gordon Grey (Eric Server). Plus, Martin had a spicy relationship with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), and a fierce rivalry (that can often be seen as comedic) with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

It’ll be interesting to see why Martin is back in town and the drama he stirs up!
