GH spoilers for the week of January 22 reveal that Esme is already at a crossroads. While Esme pleaded guilty and received probation, it could have gone a lot worse.

With Spencer’s recent actions regarding Ace Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay), it could seal which direction Esme goes next.

Esme was on the road to staying good despite visiting Heather Webber (Alley Mills). This is due to Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

However, with Spencer handing Ace to Nikolas, Esme might wonder what the point is of being good.

No matter how hard Esme has tried, people can’t seem to give her a chance. Granted, Spencer is right about Esme getting back her memories.

However, if she told anyone, they would automatically assume Esme was going back to her old ways. Esme is a good mother to Ace because she loves him. Love is something the old Esme never experienced.

By the time the week of January 22 rolls around, Spencer might regret listening to Nikolas. Even though Spencer was going to Paris with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), finding Ace might take priority. Spencer might feel so bad that he could end up searching for Nikolas himself.
