He will always be remembered for his romances with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), and who could forget his villainous brother, Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche)?
Jax also happens to be Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) father, and with all that she’s been going through as of late, it’s odd that she hasn’t mentioned her dad.
In fact, there have been times when Jax has been off-screen, but still mentioned in storylines, so why does it feel as if he’s been erased from the show’s history?

Fans have noticed that Josslyn hasn’t been talking to or about her dad, Jax, as of late. In the past, Joss would even go and visit her father from time to time, but he’d always be mentioned to some degree.
Many have wondered why his name hasn’t dropped at all; some have wondered why the show hasn’t opted to “kill” him off if they refuse to acknowledge him.

It is more than odd that Jax hasn’t been talked about, considering his link to Josslyn and his history with the show.
After all, plenty of characters have exited the little town, but are still brought up, now and again, especially if the storyline dictates it.
Ingo Rademacher’s History
GH viewers may recall that Jax’s portrayer, Ingo Rademacher, was fired from the show in 2021 when he did not comply with the COVID-19 vaccine policy that ABC had added during the pandemic.
He, along with Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) were let go, although Burton was brought back in early 2024 when the COVID vaccination mandate was dropped. Rademacher later launched a lawsuit against the soap and the network.

With that said, this doesn’t mean that Jax couldn’t be mentioned once in a while, right? The character should be separated from the actor.
Perhaps, if Rademacher couldn’t come back, there’s always an opportunity for the show to recast the role, too.

I think Jax’s is being forgotten..l don’t care what he did he is a legacy character and it doesn’t seem right to just leave him out of josslyns life..he would have been there when Dex died for her. Just like when Oscar passed away..recast if you don’t want Indigo back, but Joss needs her dad
I hope that the traitor is NEVER EVER mentioned again. He is a lowlife, ungrateful, back stabbing, pos that doesn’t deserve any type of closure and or exit story. As for him being Joss’s father.. well that’s just an unfortunately piece of history that I wish could be rewritten…
Bring Ingo back there is plenty of evidence out there that the the Vaccine is not a vaccine and there are thousands of people around the world that have been injured by this so called vaccine! Look at how many people on the show have gotten cancer or have died, did they get the Jab/vaccine?
Or is it true that he was not welcomed because of his political views?
At this point I do not even recognize the show anymore. So many recasts its not good, as a matter of fact it is sad.
That’s the most ridiculous statement I’ve heard to date. Try thinking for yourself instead of listening to the media. Everyone including Ingo has the right to decide what they put in their body. I myself got the vaccine but it’s not my decision nor yours what he does. To call him a traitor because he didn’t follow suit is the definition of I know what’s best for you. I think that General Hospital top dogs should have gotten over themselves and rehired Jax! What he did was an emotional reaction to Covid 19 and demanding people take the vaccine. Even though I supported and took the vaccine, I didn’t believe it should have been a mandated one for employment. So, I still support bringing Jax back!
For a while I did miss Jax but then what happened after covid and then he sued I think he rubbed GH the wrong way. And he just never stopped and I think like many others that have been on the show and have been gone and we don’t know why you don’t never hear their names again am I angry or no do I think maybe people who are I don’t know maybe friends of his and he’s making them do this I don’t know but he made his bed and now he’s got to sleep in it. Since he hasn’t been a main character for many years now. Who knows what the future holds but since he hasn’t been on for all these years I don’t really care what way or the other. I think he actually put a bad taste in gh’s mouth
