General Hospital Genie Francis Long Awaited Return as Laura Collins!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Genie Francis’ long-awaited return as Laura Webber Collins is happening! Genie Francis is set to be back in the studio in September, and GH fans could not be happier! Executive Producer Frank Valentini promises viewers that they have an amazing story for Laura. Are you exciting to hear that Genie Francis is coming home to the ABC soap opera?

GH sources explain that Laura Collins left the ABC daytime drama in January 2018, shortly after she married Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). She was deeply embroiled in the Port Charles mayoral campaign against Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) as well. It was shocking to see her leave town to attend to her hurt grandson, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) and upset fans worldwide when the announcement came that she was bumped to recurring.

Genie Francis reveals to Soaps In Depth, “I’m looking forward to coming home, and I’m really excited about this new, invigorating story they have for Laura.” It will be interesting to see how everything unfolds now that the mysterious patient in Ferncliff has been revealed to be either Kevin Collins or his twin brother, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom portrays both characters). One has to wonder which brother is roaming free in Port Charles, and how will this twist entwine with Laura’s return?

General Hospital spoilers show Genie Francis has been a historical part of the ABC sudser since 1977. She has been involved in epic romances with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), who doesn’t remember the supercouple’s November 17, 1981 wedding – it drew in 30 million viewers! How about her romance with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner)?

Genie Francis may have taken breaks from GH, appearing in, CBS’ The Young and the Restless (Y&R) as Genevieve Akinson, NBC’s Days of Our Lives (DOOL) as Diana Colville and ABC’s All My Children (AMC) as Ceara Connor Hunter. She also appeared in many Primetime series like Pretty the Series (Dr. Kate) and North and South (Brett Main Hazard). She is a brilliant actress and GH fans cannot wait for her to return.
