General Hospital Laura Wright Spills New Job, Teases Exciting Film with Soap Connections

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) has been delivering some fantastic performances on GH lately thanks in part to the dramatic story she’s tangled up in.

Many fans have been glued to their screens due to Carly’s decision to hide fugitive Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) right under Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) nose.

Brennan has no idea that Valentin has made Carly’s attic his hideout – nor does he know that Carly’s partnered up with Valentin and happens to be sizzling with him, too.

That’ll change in the not-too-distant future, so viewers will be eager to see the explosive reveal that’s on the horizon.

In the meantime, we can talk about Laura Wright’s side project since she recently mentioned one on X (formerly known as Twitter).

SOD posted about a new movie called Soapbox, which stars David Duchovny and is also co-written by him.

Vincent Irizarry (ex-Deimos Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives) and Christopher Sean (ex-Paul Narita on DOOL) are in the film, so the news originally spilled about their involvement before Wright spilled her own.

“Someone else may have a cameo in this movie as well,” Wright said on X before offering up some winking and raised-hand emojis to confirm it was her.

No details are available yet on Wright’s appearance in Soapbox, but we do know Duchovny plays a soap star who has aged past his prime. It’s a satire comedy that should bring some laughs and hopefully be a fun ride for fans of the daytime drama genre.

As for Wright, she had another famous cameo that viewers may recall. Back in 2015, a movie came out called Joy that featured Wright along with Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Donna Mills (ex- Madeline Reeves) and Susan Lucci (Erica Kane on All My Children).

That David O. Russell flick brought some memorable moments for those of us who tuned in and saw Wright along with her soapy cameo costars.
