Mathison posted a photo of his mother on his social media account with a special message. He said, “Mom, you left this world a better place. You were the center of our family with so much love and devotion for all of us.”

The actor shared that his mom was with him when he went through difficult times. She has also celebrated all his successes with love and enthusiasm. Mathison shared a lot of beautiful memories with his mother. He said she’ll always be in his heart and he can’t put his feelings into words. The actor ended his message by saying that he loves and misses her so much.

General Hospital  News – Fans And Friends Offer Support

Mathison’s fans and friends responded to his post quickly. They offered their love and support to the actor during this tough time. Laura Wright commented, “Much love and light. My thoughts are with you and your family.” Melissa Clare Egan of The Young and the Restless offered her condolences, as well. Alicia Minshew sent her love to the actor and said that his mother is now with him “now and always.”

Mathison revealed two weeks earlier that his two-year cancer checkup came back clear. However, it was not the case for his mother. He said she’s still “still fighting hard” against brain cancer. Mathison got the full support of his mom when he fought against kidney cancer back in 2019. He had gone through surgery to remove the tumor. Four months later, her mother got diagnosed with brain cancer. That’s why he also made a promise that he’ll be there to support all the way.
