General Hospital News: Hayley Erin Opens Up About Kiki’s Death And Leaving The Show

For avid viewers of General Hospital, they know Hayley Erin as Kiki Jerome on the soap. She might have left the show, but Erin is keeping herself busy with other projects. Erin recently spoke with Soap Hub about her GH departure.

When asked about her take on Kiki’s death, she said she was okay with her character being killed off. As a matter of fact, she even felt flattered that Kiki was killed and not replaced by another actress. She added that General Hospital will always be her first home and she would love to get another chance to return, even for a brief moment.

If there was one thing that she wished she didn’t miss during her stay in General Hospital, it was when Ava (Maura West) ordered Kiki to get up while inside a body bag. The show got a body double for the major scene since Erin had to go to Portland for The Perfectionist.

Moving on to her other previous projects, particularly on The Young and The Restless, Erin talked about her character, Abby. She said Emme Rylan replaced her as Abby on the show.

She was even open to the idea of presenting at the Daytime Emmys together with other actresses who took on the role of Abby, Emme Rylan and Melissa Ordway.

When asked about her pre-nomination, Erin was very excited. She said she submitted a few scenes, including the one when Kiki was on the witness stand, and her scenes with Maura, whom she still communicates with even when they no longer work together. She considers being part of a soap opera as the hardest job and she wears it as a badge of honor.

Although she’s no longer in General Hospital, Erin can be seen on Pretty Little Liars and The Perfectionist, which is set to premiere on Freeform on March 20. She remained tight-lipped about what her role is. However, she gave a hint and said her character is a fiery chick.

She revealed that she has already finished filming and she hopes to return for another season. Erin said she had the time of her life when they were filming The Perfectionist.
