General Hospital News: Johnny Wactor’s Ex-Fiancée’s Devastating Video, Speaks Directly To His “Killers”

General Hospital (GH) news shows that alum Johnny Wactor (Brando Corbin) was shot and killed in Los Angeles early Saturday morning by a thieve stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. He was 37 and reportedly stepped in front of a female coworker to protect her before he was shot.

The outpouring of love, shock, and grief by his friends and loved ones in the aftermath of this sickening crime reveals the depth of Johnny’s impact on the world in the short time he was here.

According to the police report, Johnny left his job at a rooftop bar and was walking his coworker to their cars when he came upon the men and believed them to be towing his vehicle. His mother Scarlett said that he did not confront or provoke the thieves, who have not been apprehended, and he was rushed to a hospital where he died.

His heartbroken ex, actress Tessa Farrell, released a video slamming the “criminals” who took the actor’s his life, a man she described as a “bright soul to this world.”

Farrell tearfully said “If the person who did this, if you’re watching, I’m sorry, but you shot the wrong guy … You don’t have to steal – especially take a life over it.”

She added that “human life is disregarded too easy” and asked that the public “make changes as a community … support each other” concluding “Maybe that’s what Johnny’s gift is for us, maybe he’s gifting that to all of us.”

GH spoilers – Johnny Wactor Played Brando Corbin

Wactor debuted as Brando Corbin in 2020 and starred in over 160 episodes until his character was killed off in 2022.

He was a series regular on the 2013 NBC drama series Siberia, and appeared on The OA, The Passenger, Westworld and Hollywood Girl. His television debut came in a three-episode guest role on the Lifetime series Army Wives.

His IMDb page lists three directing projects and he wrote a short film called Broken Riders. Wactor’s most recent work was in the horror anthology Dead Talk Tales: Volume I.

GH Spoilers – Johny Wactor A “Bright Soul”

Wactor’s co-stars honored the star on social media, including Sofia Mattsson, who played his wife Sasha Gilmore: “My heart is so utterly broken… Johnny was the absolute best. So genuine. So caring. Incredibly hard working and humble. With a huge heart that spread so much kindness and joy.”

Parry Shen (Brad Cooper) wrote on his Instagram: “@johnnywactor and I had never worked together during our time on GH. It was only until this past October that we got to know each other doing a multi-city event on the East Coast … Shared our career & life stories. I was really excited to have a new person in my life that I instantly and effortlessly connected with.”

He added “Johnny Wactor was a beautiful, beautiful soul. So talented. No ego … Funny as all heck. Fit as all hell but also loved ice cream and ate all the junk I did as well. He also got me excited about live theater again after watching a Mamet play.”
