The actor shared the wonderful news on Twitter. “Starring Brittany Bristow and myself!” Cohen said. “Hallmark Channel is bringing you a whole bunch of my cheesy smile this holiday season!”
Hallmark is keeping everything about the upcoming film under wraps. There are no photos, trailers, or plot descriptions yet. But, the movie will likely be about two people, that being Cohen and Bristow, falling in love during Hanukkah.
General Hospital News – Cohen’s Thoughts On Leaving The ABC Soap
The 36-year-old actor debuted his role as Dr. Griffin Munro back in 2017. He stayed on the show for three years before his character was written out in March 2019. Good news for his fans, though, as the door was left open for Cohen’s character to return to the soap.
In an interview with TV Insider, Cohen said he had fun playing his character. He tried to explain his decision to leave and said that he’s the kind of person who “gets uncomfortable when he gets comfortable.” So he’s decided to give Griffin a little rest for now. He teased that his character had an open-ended exit.
“There is no greater compliment to be paid to an actor than to have the possibility of a return.” He was grateful for everyone at the network, including executive producer Frank Valentini, for giving him the opportunity to come back.
