General Hospital News: Ryan Paevey Scores New Primetime Job

Former “General Hospital” star Ryan Paevey recently appeared as Bryce on the new BET drama “Games People Play” as the athletic jogger in the first episode.

His appearance on the show came a few months after his agents, Justice & Ponder, teased that Paevey was set to appear in a new series. On the tweet, they did not reveal what show it was. Now, it is pretty obvious that they were referring to “Games People Play.”

They also teased that Paevey would appear on “another episode of a new series.” Fans of the actor would be delighted to know that he is set to appear in a “bunch” of episodes in Season 1 and may even be booked to guest star on the show’s Season 2.

“Yep, I’m in a bunch in season one…i think it was only supposed to be a short stretch, but turned into more frequent appearances…maybe even season 2. : ),” Paevey said.

The new drama series “Games People Play” is based on Angela Burt-Murray’s book. It stars Lauren London who plays Vanessa King and Sarunas J. Jackson as Marques King. Ryan’s character, Bryce, falls in love with Vanessa, who is already married to Marques, a national basketball star and a philanderer. The story also revolves around other characters like Nia Bullock (Karen Obilo) and Laila James (Parker McKenna Posey).

Paevey left “General Hospital” last year, but he has kept himself busy since his departure. When not acting, Paevey is running his creative jewelry making business, Fortunate Wanderer. Recently, he teased two brand-new projects but did not provide further details. He also revealed that he could get a third film in the “Mr. Darcy” series.

In 2012, he appeared in the feature film “4 Dead Girls: The Soul Taker.” He also landed a role in “The Client List,” “Unleashing Mr. Darcy,” “Harvest Love,” “Locked In,” and “Bogie and Bacall.” Before establishing his acting career, he took up modelling when he was in high school and also Paevey appeared in Christina Aguilera’s music video “Your Body” and worked with big wigs like Katy Perry, Cher, and Robin Thicke. Additionally, he appeared on commercials for Izod and Corona.
