Today on GH, a brutal breakup explodes at Bobbie’s, a WSB figure alarms Britt by targeting a teen, Emma seeks urgent help, and Anna’s captivity turns truly horrifying.

General Hospital recaps for Friday, January 23 reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) interrupted Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) fight.

Plus, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) approached Rocco Falconeri, (Finn Carr) upsetting Britt, and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) sought help from Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).

On General Hospital Today – Jason Interrupted Carly And Britt’s Fight

Jason interrupted the argument between Britt and Carly at Bobbie’s. Britt, feeling that Carly had shown her why she would never be his priority, demanded that Jason choose between them, which left Carly confused by the claim. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

When Jason didn’t respond, Britt interpreted his silence as a decision and criticized him for always prioritizing Carly over her.

She expressed that she thought she could forgive him, but realized she couldn’t, and told Jason to stay away from her before grabbing her purse and leaving the restaurant. Carly became defensive when Jason asked what she had said to Britt.

Carly Tried To Explain Britt’s Bizarre Behavior

She told her best friend she held back when Britt pressed buttons-Jason sighed that after one talk with Carly, all of Britt’s insecurities returned when things were fine before.

He wished Carly believed he could love her and still have space for someone else. She said she never asked Jason to choose, and their friendship was better now than when she needed constant reassurances about her place in his life.

Carly added that even if she disagreed, she respected his choice to date Britt, just as he respected her choices. Jason, suspicious of Britt’s sudden change, was determined to find out why she tried to fight with Carly and left.

Cullum Approached Rocco, Upsetting Britt

Rocco was tidying the art therapy room at G.H. when Cullum walked in. After asking about the teen’s community service, Cullum inquired about Dr. Britt Westbourne’s office.

Meanwhile, Britt arrived at the hospital after her argument with Carly and Jason and panicked upon seeing Cullum with Rocco.

She entered the room, pretending a nurse had sent her because someone was looking for her- Ross introduced himself as a WSB Director and gave Britt a firm handshake.

After some small talk with Rocco about his community service, Britt took Cullum to her office.

Chase And Brook Lynn Talked About His Demotion

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) told Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that he had been demoted to patrol officer following his Internal Affairs investigation.

He called the demotion a wake-up call, realizing he had been too focused on his career. Chase expressed a desire to revisit their adoption plans, but Brook Lynn worried he was avoiding the impact of losing his detective badge.

Chase shared that he often thought about becoming a parent, but the demotion surprised him, even though he had been right about Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).

He explained to his wife that he could retake the detective exam in the future if the department deemed him qualified, and that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) advised him to take time to consider his options.

Emma Sought Help From Nathan

Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) took Emma to the PCPD to talk to Mac Scorpio (John J. York).

Since he was out, Nathan helped them; Emma hesitated to involve Nathan, but Gio urged her to voice her worries about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) long absence.

They went to the interrogation room, where Emma and Gio said Anna’s silence was strange, and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) hadn’t heard from her either.

Emma mentioned her mom wasn’t worried, as Anna often went off the grid for work, but she felt something was off and had asked Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) to check on Anna.

When Nathan returned, he told them there was no news on Anna in the PCPD records, but he would search for her; “We will get answers. I know where to start,” Nathan assured.

Lucas Took Josslyn To Wyndemere

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) took Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to Wyndemere for drinks. They found Ava Jerome (Maura West) in the living room, already holding a martini after getting help from Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) to measure for Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) new artwork.

Joss was surprised to see Ava hosting and suddenly remembered she had to watch Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears). She tried to leave, but Ava said she mixed up the dates since Donna and Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) were with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Unable to leave, Joss accepted a glass of wine, and Ava went with Marco to the wine cellar for a bottle.

Joss And Ava Clashed

Lucas thanked Joss for staying and dealing with his aunt Ava, and for getting to know Marco, unlike her mother.

Lucas said he was hungry and went to find food since Pascal (Marc Forget) the butler wasn’t there; alone in the living room, Josslyn started looking around.

When Ava caught her, Joss said she was just being nosy because Wyndemere was so wild and didn’t seem right for her uncle.

Ava compared it to a homecoming since Lucas lived there as a child, but Joss thought Lucas would have said “home” was wherever his family was a year ago.

This made Ava say people can create their own families, and they both loved many of the same people-Joss told her to stop pretending, saying that besides Avery, Ava only cared about herself.

Marco Forbade Lucas And Josslyn Exploring The Catacombs Underneath Wyndemere

When Ava mocked Josslyn for being judgmental like her mother, Joss insisted she never acted superior; Ava hated that Joss saw her true self. Maybe Ava was right, but everyone pretends sometimes; “I bet you do too,” Ava said, hitting the deactivated secret agent hard. Marco and Lucas returned with wine, discussing which red wine was better.

After pouring some, Lucas suggested they explore the catacombs since he hadn’t been there since childhood.

Marco tried to stop him, saying the tunnels were cold and damp, but when Lucas and Josslyn got up to go, Marco jumped up and shocked them by saying, “Absolutely not.”

Anna Woke Up To The Ghost Of Peter

In Anna’s quarters downstairs, she awoke to find Peter August (Wes Ramsey) looming over her bed! Teasing his “Auntie Anna,” Peter inquired if she had mourned him when he passed away, then joked that no one in his family truly stayed dead.

Anna yelled that he was not real, but Peter sarcastically responded that his father would be incredibly disappointed in her for rejecting what was right in front of her.

“I held your hand, and I watched you die,” Anna asserted. Prodding her further, Peter retorted, “Did you? Or was it merely another one of my father’s deceptions? He had so many. And he’s tricked you before.”

Anna Demanded To See Faison

Then, Peter informed Anna that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) had taken a long time to reveal himself to her, but it was nearly time for his father to make his appearance.

Yelling at him to cease his chatter, Anna shut her eyes tightly and covered her ears while rocking back and forth.

When she opened her eyes again, she demanded to see Faison immediately, but Peter insisted that his father would show himself when he was prepared.

Pleading with her tormentor to end the psychological torture, Anna cried out to Faison, “Show me your face. Just come here!”
