General Hospital recaps for Wednesday, September 16 reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was arrested, while Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) moved out.

Plus, Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) came clean to Danny  Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).

Key Takeaways

  • Baines arrests Nina over Brennan’s disappearance and suspected murder.
  • Chase moves out after his marriage to Brook Lynn falls apart.
  • Drew planted Brennan’s wallet in Nina’s vehicle.
  • Scout admits she used Danny as her cover story.
  • Charlotte proposes a dangerous scheme to gain leverage over Drew.

Nina Caught Up Sonny, Then Sonny Met With Tracy

Nina encountered Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at the Metro Court Gardens, mentioning she might need Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) legal assistance.

She said it was because Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) had reported a public altercation between Nina and Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) to the WSB before his disappearance.

Though uncertain of Jack’s whereabouts and skeptical of serious consequences, Nina decided retaining counsel was prudent.

After their conversation, Sonny joined Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) across the restaurant. She revealed that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had admitted to being the other driver in Curtis and Jordan Ashford’s (Donnell Turner, Tanisha Harper) accident, resulting in complications with Chase and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).

Nina Was Arrested!

When Tracy asked Sonny to persuade their grandson to forgive his mother, Sonny challenged her for attempting to repair Brook Lynn’s relationship with her son when she’d failed to mend Brook Lynn’s relationship with Chase.

Meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) arrived as Nina was scheduling a meeting with Ric and learned about the WSB investigation; Ava probed for details about what the WSB knew without revealing her involvement.

Agent William Baines (Alimi Ballard) then approached their table and arrested Nina for Jack Brennan’s disappearance and suspected murder.

Baines escorted a handcuffed, screaming Nina from the restaurant in front of Sonny, Tracy, restaurant patrons recording on their phones, and a shocked Ava.

Chase Moved Out

Brook Lynn was devastated when Chase announced he was moving out-as he packed, she pleaded with him to stay, even offering to leave the mansion herself, but Chase believed their broken trust was more significant than her overbearing family.

Brook Lynn countered that Chase had also lied before, yet she’d chosen to preserve their marriage, prompting him to remind her that she’d deceived him by framing Willow after promising no more lies.

Brook Lynn was shattered to learn Chase had consulted Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about a legal separation.

She managed to persuade him to delay filing papers until he determined if their marriage was salvageable, and urged him to return the next day to see Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton). After his departure, Brook Lynn collapsed into tears.

Carly Was Startled To See Valentin At Anna’s Condo

Carly arrived at Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place and was startled to see Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) there with a visibly distressed Anna.

After Carly left awkwardly, Anna told Valentin his behavior had shifted since connecting with Carly and encouraged him to follow her and clarify he was simply supporting a friend.

Anna then called Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) over. Felicia was taken aback by Valentin’s presence, and Anna revealed he understood her deeply and had witnessed her darkest moments.

However, Anna decided she couldn’t depend on Valentin anymore; though she’d always care for him, both he and Carly deserved happiness together.

Valentin Went Back To Carly’s And Explained His Helping Anna

Carly was nursing red wine at home when Valentin arrived; he offered to explain the situation with Anna, but Carly declined to protect Anna’s privacy.

She mentioned checking on Anna after witnessing Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) fighting, with Emma appearing frightened. Valentin confirmed Carly’s suspicion about WSB involvement in Anna’s troubles and acknowledged her worry that the agency might jeopardize Josslyn’s future.

He conceded her concerns were reasonable but noted Anna’s crisis stemmed from her past with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), making Josslyn unlikely to face similar consequences simply from working with the WSB.

Valentin expressed confidence Anna would recover and hoped she’d find the same peace with life that he’d discovered with Carly.

Scout Came Clean To Danny

Scout secretly met Danny at the Quartermaine stables while he worked off a debt from damaging Chase’s truck and a speedboat.

She revealed that after Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) caught her in a lie on Labor Day, she’d let her father think she was with Danny.

When Danny grew upset, Scout claimed she’d attended a PCU party instead of admitting she’d been with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), and Danny accepted her using him as cover.

Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke)  arrived mid-conversation; once Scout departed, Charlotte informed a stunned Danny that his sister had been with a boy, not at a college party.

If Scout continued sneaking around with this mystery person, Drew would eventually catch her-to prevent this, Charlotte suggested they obtain leverage over Drew by catching him in a compromising situation with someone inappropriate—herself.

Ava Confronted Drew, Drew Later Made Scout  A Promise

At Drew’s residence, Ava finally disclosed to him the tick she had contracted at the nature preserve. Ava harbored concerns that CDC investigation into the uncommon tick species could potentially expose Brennan’s remains, and she cautioned Drew that her downfall would inevitably become his as well.

Recalling the moment he planted Jack’s wallet in Nina’s vehicle, Drew assured Ava that should the WSB or PCPD launch an investigation to identify a culprit for Brennan’s vanishing, she wouldn’t be their target.

In a separate moment, Scout confided in her father about how deeply she’d yearned for him during his stroke recovery and the emotional gap she’d experienced since his recuperation.

Drew pledged to ensure that nothing would ever create distance between them again, and helped her with her math.
