General Hospital recaps for Thursday, August 6 reveal Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) flirted with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) he quit the mob.
Elsewhere, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) he quit the mob too!
Key Takeaways
- Sonny stunned Dante by revealing he’s officially leaving the mob after Jason made the same decision, too.
- Jason confessed to Tracy that he’s quitting the business to be a better father figure for Danny, leading to an emotional family moment.
- Serena wasted no time flirting with Michael at the Metro Court, exactly as Lucy hoped she would.
- Drew lied under oath during Curtis’ trial, delivering a major blow to the prosecution’s case.
- Curtis insisted Isaiah betrayed his family, while the courtroom battle ended with emotional closing arguments from both sides.
- Lucy worried about Kevin’s absence as Laura grew suspicious after spotting Ezra meeting privately with Jacinda.
- Laura confronted Brennan over Sidwell’s freedom, but his answers did little to ease her concerns.
- Jacinda secretly slipped pills into Willow’s iced coffee, setting up a dangerous act of revenge.
Serena Baldwin Flirts
After Serena literally landed in Jack Brennan’s (Chris L. McKenna) lap at the Metro Court pool, she started flirting, prompting Jack to make a quick getaway.
Shifting her focus to Michael, Serena introduced herself, mentioning her visit was to support Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), who was thrown off when Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) sold Michael her Deception shares.
Michael reassured her that Maxie knew he would prioritize the company’s best interests over the Quartermaine family agenda.
Serena, playfully relieved, asked if Michael would mind her working at Deception with her mother. Meanwhile, Lucy observed her plan unfold from across the pool/
Michael joked that Tracy was the real concern and encouraged Serena to keep him posted if Tracy caused any issues.
Jason Morgan’s News
General Hospital recaps for Thursday reveal that Jason told Tracy he had decided to leave his job with Sonny voluntarily, aiming to become a better role model for Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
Moved by his reasoning, Tracy pointed out that Jason’s aspirations for Danny mirrored what Alan and Monica Quartermaine (Stuart Damon, Leslie Charleson) had wished for him.
With emotion, Jason admitted he regretted not being able to apologize to his parents for the hardships he caused them.
Tracy comforted him, saying that Alan and Monica would be proud of his choice if they were still alive.
Jason expressed concern that his decision might be too late, but Tracy reassured him with a smile, stating it’s never too late to change, and if she could do it, he could too.
Sonny Corinthos’ Announcement
At Sonny’s residence, Sonny informed Dante that Jason had chosen to exit the business for the sake of Danny, which made Dante anxious about who would safeguard Sonny in Jason’s absence.
Dante was taken aback when Sonny disclosed that he was also stepping away from the mob and intended to pursue new opportunities following Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) arrest.
The two embraced, with Dante expressing disbelief that he would witness his father going legitimate.
Sonny reflected on how they could converse openly without worrying about jeopardizing Dante’s role with the PCPD.
Also in the back of his mind may have been his relationship with Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor).
Drew Cain Lies
As Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) trial progressed, Portia Ashford (Brook Kerr) insisted her personal life was irrelevant to the assault.
She refused to disclose the duration of her affair with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) when questioned by Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
The judge, however, ordered her to answer. When it was Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) turn to testify, he upheld his promise to Curtis by lying under oath about Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) location on the night of the accident, significantly damaging the prosecution’s case.
During Isaiah’s testimony, he became agitated during cross-examination when Martin suggested he provoked Curtis by claiming he would be a better father to the baby.
Isaiah Gannon Lies
Regaining his composure, Isaiah maintained he was merely stating what he believed to be true; Martin then began the defense’s case, calling Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to the stand first.
She testified that she thought Isaiah visited her in the hospital out of guilt for the accident, but Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) undermined this by getting her to admit she and Isaiah were friends.
When Curtis took the stand, he argued that the evidence showed Isaiah left him and Jordan for dead, feeling that Isaiah was trying to exclude him from his family.
Molly achieved a minor victory during cross-examination by confirming that Isaiah made no threats that night.
In their closing arguments, Molly depicted Curtis as a man who took the law into his own hands, while Martin pleaded with the jury not to separate Curtis from his newborn son simply for defending his family.
Lucy Coe’s “Kevin” Question …
At Bobbie’s, General Hospital recaps for August 6 hint that Lucy inquired with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and when he might return to Port Charles.
She expressed her hope that Serena could reconnect with him, reminiscing about their close bond during Serena’s childhood.
Laura informed her that Kevin was prolonging his teaching stint in Dublin, but she was optimistic about bringing Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry) back with her on her visit.
As Lucy left, Laura’s concern grew when she noticed Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) conversing with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) outside.
Jacinda Bracken Snags Some Pills
Jacinda requested Ezra to return some pills she had forgotten at his place months ago. She said that she needed them to cope after Willow had served her with a restraining order to keep her distance from Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sienna Goerisch).
Despite his reluctance to leave her in such a vulnerable state, Ezra insisted that Jacinda promise to reach out if she needed assistance.
Once he was inside, Ezra took a seat at Laura’s table, where she cautioned him to reconsider spending time with Jacinda, given the fraught relationship between Michael and Willow.
Ezra responded that he couldn’t abandon a friend who was clearly struggling.
Jack Brennan Grills Laura Collins
Eventually, Jack made his way over to Laura, where the mayor was pressing for an explanation as to why the WSB had not yet apprehended Jenz Sidwell and taken him into federal custody.
Jack took a moment to clarify that the responsibility for the arrest lay with the local authorities, and the bureau was reluctant to intervene, especially in light of the recent incident involving Jason.
Laura, however, was not satisfied with this response. In an effort to support her, Jack assured her that he would stand by her side if she had any reason to suspect that Sidwell still posed a danger.
Jacinda’s Pill-Popping Spree
Willow advised Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to refrain from sharing details about her personal life, particularly concerning the children, with Jack.
Nina countered that the PCPD’s decision to reopen the investigation into Michael implicated Jack as much as it did them, given that he had disposed of the traffic camera footage.
She believed there was no need for Willow to pressure Michael regarding the custody agreement and was appalled to discover that Willow had obtained a restraining order against Jacinda.
Their discussion was cut short when Jacinda showed up on an errand for Nina. While alone in the living room, Jacinda took the opportunity to slip one of the tablets into Willow’s iced coffee, seeking revenge for the restraining order.
