General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that Cassius Faison, also known as the fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), might be poised for a significant return in the future.
His departure was left ambiguous after Z (John Oliver) staged his death and offered him a position with the WSB.
Ryan Paevey Has Wrapped Up For Now, But Could Definitely Return To The ABC Soap
While Ryan Paevey has currently wrapped up his appearances, there is a possibility that he could embark on a new chapter with the character of Cassius at some point down the line.
After a suitable interval, Paevey may find himself back in the role, potentially allowing Cassius to have a fresh start in Port Charles.
Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was prepared to make a deal with Z, which involved discrediting Cassius and exaggerating his involvement in the cold fusion debacle far beyond the truth.
In return for signing a statement against Cassius and portraying Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) as a tragic hero, Josslyn managed to obtain crucial information.
This was regarding the release of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Cassius Seemed To Redeem Himself In The End
Nonetheless, Cassius experienced some redeeming moments towards the end and truly deserves better.
It would be wonderful to see him return and achieve a happier resolution, especially since his affection for James West (Gary James Fuller) is evidently genuine.
James has been feeling low after Nathan’s sudden departure and is now left wondering if he will ever see his ‘dad’ again.
It seems that some emotional scenes are on the horizon for GH once James discovers that Cassius is ‘dead’ and that he was actually his uncle.
James will undoubtedly grieve this loss, which may make it easier for him to forgive Cassius in the future.
If Cassius Does Return, As A Redeemed WSB Agent, He Could Still Be James’ Father Figure
If Cassius makes a comeback, he could still take on a fatherly role for James, even if he isn’t his biological father.
Naturally, Cassius would need a new romantic interest if that occurs, so how about a recast of Maxie Jones (previously portrayed by Kirsten Storms)?
Perhaps Maxie could be so touched by the unique connection between Cassius and James that she finds herself attracted to Nathan’s twin brother.
Regardless of the situation, there may come a time when Cassius escapes his current WSB predicament and embarks on a fresh start in Port Charles.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Cassius could still have a promising future on the show, depending on Ryan Paevey’s willingness to return for more drama.
