General Hospital RUMORS: Mary Pat Gets In Ryan's Way, His First Victim - Carly Blamed Her Death?General Hospital rumors tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) may be at least a person of interest in Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) first murder! Other General Hospital spoilers and a new GH promo video called “Halloween Week” hint that Ryan will be antagonized by former Ferncliff nurse Mary Pat Ingalls (Patricia Bethune) and she may be his first victim.

He will have rushed over to Ferncliff, having found out Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Carly were at Ferncliff on a fact-finding mission from Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) who was in Kevin’s office at GH asking “Kevin” questions about Ryan for her articles. He won’t want Laura and Carly to find out he has a living lookalike held against his will at Ferncliff, and Mary Pat might get in his way! She may have even figured out Ryan switched with Kevin and confront him about it, and he can’t have her blabbing his secrets all over town!

The problem is that Carly and Mary Pat have a well-documented history of bad blood between them. When Mary Pat encountered Laura and Carly at Ferncliff while picking up her personal things, having been fired, the two got into an argument and Carly snarked back at her that maybe she should have finished the job, the “job” being shooting Mary Pat up with the sedatives meant for Carly.

That could sound like a death threat to a detective investigating the case, and the new head nurse at Ferncliff (unnamed character and actress) witnessed the remark. The original incident had happened when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) helped Carly escape.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly will be surrounded by a legal case, and this could be it. Of course Laura will be there to vouch for her, but that doesn’t mean Carly won’t be questioned while the police look for the real perpetrator, even if only to rule her out.

      Carly did threaten Mary Pat and had caused as she was abused by Mary Pat during her stay. Plus she is married to Sonny, a mobster. So it is logical to assume she did it. Ryan is a smart serial killer so he may think that Carly will be the likely suspect. An extra bonus is that it gets Carly off of thinking about him making the Morse code SOS with his fingers. I wasn’t watching the soaps when Ryan had his first murder spree. It would help me catch up if Ryan took a look at that old list and had flashbacks of each murder. The fantasy killing of Laura was great I hope they continue to do that throughout November so we won’t know right away if the killing is real or imagined. This is the most interesting storyline in months. Very timely to do it leading up to Halloween and for sweeps.
