General Hospital Shocking Casting News: Alimi Ballard Joins the ABC Soap In Mystery RoleGeneral Hospital spoilers suggest a new face is about to pop up in the land of Port Charles! According to reports, actor Alimi Ballard will be entering the canvas, and CTS has all the exciting details below!

General Hospital spoilers confirm that Ballard will debut during the Thursday, September 3 show, playing the brand-new role of William Baines.

This is off the cusp of Jack Brennan passing away and Chris McKenna exiting the ABC soap earlier in the week. Is William connected to anyone in PC? Will he be a part of the WSB? Only time will tell.

Alimi Ballard’s Resume

Ballard is no stranger to the land of soaps, once playing Frankie Hubbard on two other ABC daytime dramas, Loving and The City.

In fact, his debut on Loving took place in 1993, when he was cast as the son of super couple Jesse Hubbard (Darnell Williams) and Angie Baxter Hubbard (Debbi Morgan).

In addition, Ballard has also been on primetime shows including Criminal Minds, NCIS, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and The Rookie (just to name a few).

In fact, he recently had a three-show run as Defense Attorney Ron Delahunt on Law and Order during the 2024/25 season.

The actor’s movie work includes Fast Five and Deep Impact. As of this writing, there’s no information on who Ballard will share scenes with or what storyline he’ll be in.

Ballard joins a slew of new actors/actresses who have joined the soap, whether as new characters or recasts.

From Kelly Kruger (Serena Baldwin recast) to Kayden Brenna Tokarski (Scout Cain recast), as well as Dean Geyer, who plays Dr. Tristan Roberts, Grady Eldridge as A&R rep Simon, and Troy Lennon Appel as JJE executive and new resident baddie, Hudson Parker, Ballard is the most recent addition to enter storylines.
