General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Davis Offers To Help An Inmate – Gets Shawn Butler’s Charges Dropped?

General Hospital: Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) General Hospital spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will offer to help an inmate in an upcoming episode of General Hospital. Can she get Shawn Butler’s (Sean Blakemore) charges dropped that he has been in prison for the last several years?

General Hospital Spoilers – Shawn Butler Has Been Serving Time For Something He Didn’t Do

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Shawn has been serving time for something he didn’t do. There don’t seem to have been any consequences for his stabbing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with a shiv because he wasn’t put into solitary confinement. He retained his privileges to use the library in the Pentonville Womens’ prison wing which is where he and Alexis encountered each other in a recent General Hospital episode. He has been in prison for shooting Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) in the head and putting her into a coma, which he is innocent of.

He had shot into a garage, as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had sent him to take Jake Doe (Billy Miller) out, assuming he had killed Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). Shawn didn’t actually hit anyone but Hayden was inside with a head wound – the person who really did it was a henchman Nikolas Cassadine (then Tyler Christopher) had hired named Giles (Craig Gellis). Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall it was actually Ava and Julian Jerome’s (Maura West, William DeVry) hitman, Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) who killed Duke, and Jake Doe would later be revealed to be Jason Morgan until Jason returned, and he was revealed as Drew Cain, the twin brother Jason never knew he had, and foster brother of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). This all explained Franco’s belief that he and Jason had been brothers separated when they were small.

GH Spoilers – Alexis Davis May Work On Getting Shawn Butler Released

General Hospital viewers know that Alexis may work on getting Shawn released since she has already used her legal skills to help her cellmate work on her appeal. Shawn had actually pleaded guilty to the crime because he blamed himself for Hayden’s shooting even though he wasn’t the one who shot her. However, this could put Alexis in a bit of a quandary – her beloved nephew Nikolas, (now Marcus Coloma) may be exposed in the process of trying to free Shawn as the one who ordered the hit on Hayden! The hitman himself, Giles, disappeared long ago and Nikolas may well have had him disposed of at the time. Nikolas has gone between good Cassadine and bad Cassadine most of his history, as longtime General Hospital viewers will remember.

There is still some question as to whether Nikolas made Hayden disappear for good after she came back to Port Charles with her and Dr. Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) daughter Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love)! Hayden again had become inconvenient for Nikolas as he was trying to reclaim his inheritance from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)! Nikolas had claimed to her that he wanted to help her get out of Port Charles for her own safety but prior had witnessed her making a deal with Valentin that would not have been in Nikolas’ favor! Alexis will no doubt want to prove Shawn’s innocence, but she may dig up dirt on Nikolas in the process!
