General Hospital Spoilers and Promo: Ava Makes Sonny A Tempting Offer, Her Plot To Take Avery Away From Dad?

ABC General Hospital spoilers tease that in this week’s Sneak Peek for Monday, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) has an offer for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she hopes he won’t refuse, but Sonny’s just not real sure he can trust her!

General Hospital – Sonny Corinthos Must Handle His Father Mike Corbin’s Final Arrangements

Sonny knows that it’s only a matter of time before his ailing father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) will take his last breath, and breathing has become very difficult for Mike, who is in the last stage of Alzheimer’s Disease and now has come down with pneumonia. Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Mike’s doctors have told him that it’s time to say goodbye, and Mike has been placed in hospice to live out his final few days.

Ava, the mother of his next to youngest daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) has learned of the grim situation and has come to the hospice to talk to Sonny about helping out. She tells Sonny that she knows that he will have his hands full for the next few days, and she offers to take care of Avery while Sonny handles his grief and his father’s final arrangements.

But Sonny doesn’t entirely trust that Ava is sincere, given their history with one another, and asks her if she’s sure she isn’t trying to take advantage of the situation to change their custody arrangement! Ava responds, telling Sonny that she realizes that he’s used to thinking the worst of her, but continues to try and assure him that she is being sincere about this.

GH Spoilers – Ava Jerome And Sonny Corinthos Continue To Discuss Ava Jerome’s Offer To Take Care Of Avery Jerome-Corinthos

Ava and Sonny continue to discuss Ava’s offer to take care of Avery over the next few days while Sonny does what he must be regarding his father, and she reminds him that they both had agreed to do whatever was best for their little girl, in spite of what they thought of one another. Sonny strokes his chin and thinks it over – although he looks at her with suspicion, raising one eye.

Ava continues to attempt to convince an undecided and unsure Sonny and tells him that she sincerely wants to help and that she really believes it would be in Avery’s best interest. She asks him if he could please trust her on that. Sonny turns to her and tells Ava that he’s not a mind reader – and he just doesn’t know if she’s hustling him or not! She promises that she’s not hustling him, and he turns to her and says “You know what?” and tells her that actually, taking Avery for a few days would be a help to him.

Ava smiles, and tells Sonny that it would be her pleasure, and thanks to him – but Sonny is still not completely convinced that her motives for taking their daughter for a few days are completely sincere, and tells her she can take Avery under one condition! The sneak peek ends with Sonny telling Ava that there is a condition, and viewers will have to tune in Monday to find out exactly what Sonny’s condition is!
