General Hospital’s Avery is about to get a new stepfather when her stepmother, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) marries Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Avery is bound to be shocked by this development and will most likely not understand why this is happening. Avery is staying with her for her protection right now and is in the thick of things. However, the current portrayers have been very good at their scenes in the past so why do they need to age Avery so soon? Is the change in Avery’s age not going to make it seem that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been gone a lot longer than he has?

General Hospital’s powers in charge could be changing the actors because the current portrayers have gotten another job and are unable to be available as much as they are needed to be. Ava and Grace have been acting since they were babies and could be moving on to other things. However, it is most likely that Avery is being included in the teen scenes and could have confrontational scenes with both Carly and Spencer. Avery could also have more emotional scenes with her father when he gets his memory back as well. Of course, the issue could also be COVID-related because children haven’t been used very often since the pandemic started.

All of the Corinthos children have been aged rapidly so aging Avery isn’t any different. However, it makes fans question if Donna will be SORASed as well.
