General Hosptial (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) still has no idea if she is actually Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey)mother or if her twin sister Alex Devane (also Finola Hughes) is, but that won’t stop her from having a happy reunion with Peter in the near future.
General Hospital Spoilers – Maxie Jones and Peter August have grown much closer
During Anna’s time away, Peter and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) have grown much closer. In fact, they are planning on moving in together in the next few weeks. Anna will likely be thrilled by this news. Anna has known Maxie all of her life and thinks highly of the young woman, and will be happy her son found love with her! But trouble is on the horizon.
GH Spoilers – Peter August’s criminal activity is still an issue
Anna still has no idea just how involved Peter was in Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) memory mapping scheme. Nor does she have any idea just how far Peter has gone to keep his involvement a secret. He put a hit out an Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and is also responsible for Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) plane going down. Andre survived the attack but Drew wasn’t so lucky. He is still presumed dead.

This information is likely to devastate Anna, and she will be horrified at what her son has done. But what will Anna do? Will she help Peter get out of this mess, or will she have to be the one to bring her own to justice and ruin not just his life, but Maxie’s as well? Anna will ultimately do the right thing but this will be one of the most difficult things she has ever done.

I have found this whole situation with Peter to be horrible. They spent over a year on Peter’s redemption and nearly two years building up Peter and Maxie’s relationship to go in this terrible direction. Anna had spent nearly two years trying to find and protect Peter. She gave up months of her life trying to make sure that Peter was first date from Liesl last year and Alex this year. It is cruel and dreadful to think that they will turn Peter into a monster like Faison for Anna to have to take down because Anna love Peter as her son or nephew. It is just as bad if they try to turn Maxie into the equivalent of a battered woman trying to get away from her evil obsessed abusive boyfriend. Maxie and Peter have a real relationship. I hope that something will turn this senseless situation around and that something has not been right with Peter somehow. I have absolutely hated what they have done with Peter by having him do anything to Drew or Andre especially since Peter wanted Drew to have the flash drive to restore his memories. It has made no sense whatsoever that because of this possible memory that Drew may or may not have of Peter being involved with what happened with Jason and Drew that Peter did anything to Drew. Anna and Maxie do not deserve to lose Peter because he became a big bad that needs to be killed or put into prison. I hope that at some point this extremely unhappy story line will be put on a better direction.
I agree with you. The writers are so bad. I never understood why suddenly Drew gaining his memories back would actually be an issue. If Peter really wanted to protect himself, why would he give Drew the flash drive if he was so concerned that anyone would find out his involvement. It is so contradictory and makes the show look bad. Also he was around Andre Maddox so why would he wait this long to get rid of Andre. He should have just told Maxie the truth. I hate what they have done. I mean, I personally wouldn’t care if he had just killed Shiloh but to try and kill Andre and get rid of Drew (which I doubt is actually dead) foregoes all of the redemption that Peter has. I think he is a good guy and truly does love Maxie but he has to stop trying to cover his tracks. He needs to be truly honest.
