General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will find common ground this week on the ABC soap.
Anna may likely be next on his list to tell that he’s no longer in the mob business-he’s told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) but he won’t want to steal his thunder!
Sonny Tells Anna Yes, He’s Serious
Sonny tells Anna, yes, he’s serious-and she doesn’t have to worry about Dante being torn between his detective duties and his father-he’s out of the mob.
With Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in jail, and none of the former Five Families intact, there aren’t any mob enemies to speak of.
It’s the perfect time, and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) out too. Sonny tells Anna there are different ways to be powerful besides mob activity-there are plenty of legal businesses to be powerful in, and that is his goal.
He does want to reclaim his piers and resurrect his coffee company, and buy some of Sidwell’s legal holdings that are now up for auction.
Anna is happy, but has some of the same questions as others he’s told-will he be able to make his going straight work?
Sonny Will Find A Way
Sonny will find a way to succeed and to not only make his going straight work, but excel at it-that is his goal, and he plans to put most of his energy into it.
Anna encourages him, but at the same time, she knows getting out of the mob is as difficult as getting out of the WSB or the DVX.
She lived it, and remembers when Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) did as well; it was a time of constant and imminent danger.
She agrees that there are not a lot of the Five Families left, but puts Sonny in mind of when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) moved in-and the multi-pronged attack to take over the entire East Coast!
Anna And Sonny Find Common Ground
Anna and Sonny find common ground talking about their dangerous professions when trying to raise children-both of them have had kidnappings in their families.
Then their conversation turns to Jason Morgan, (Steve Burton) and his decision to leave the mob and working for Sonny-at least what he had been doing-to be a better father to Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
They both agree that for the sake of their children, and grandchildren, not working in danger is best-even though the police department can bring danger, it’s not as bad as the WSB.
Sonny and Anna conclude their business and their talk is through. Next up, the Sidwell auction-at which Sonny hopes to be a big winner!
