General Hospital spoilers reveal Anna deciding she has finally had enough of Valentin’s lies — or at least his truth omissions — and she is going to get to the bottom of what’s been going on with him no matter what it takes.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Games Are Over
Essentially, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has been playing hot and cold with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for the entire year. They shared an incredible New Year’s Eve kiss and then Valentin did his best to warn Anna that he would not always be honest and the next thing he knew an attempt to be honest got him shoved in a car trunk.
Valentin has been in and out of Anna’s life ever since and despite a few romantic moments and kisses, as well as two official dates now, Anna knows Valentin is lying to her about something and she is going to figure out what’s going on. After all, she is a superspy and superspies investigate and discover things when they know someone is being less than truthful. Anna knows it’s time to be true to her own self.
“I definitely wanted to give the implications that I was not sure about everything that’s going on with him,” Finola Hughes said in the August 16, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest, adding, “Even though it’s not necessarily there in the words, I just wanted to give Anna some intelligence around it, really.”
General Hospital Spoilers – Anna DeVane Finally Gives In
After another discussion with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about Valentin’s weirdness, Anna realizes how she has no choice but to get to the truth and Felicia is the one who encourages her, knowing Anna won’t be able to rest until she knows all.
Anna then goes to Martin Grey because if anyone knows what’s going on with Valentin, it’s his trusted attorney and friend. And fans are treated to scenes between Hughes and Michael E. Knight.
“Anna gets to work with the character of Martin and then I get to play with Michael and they are both such complicated characters so it’s just extraordinary,” Hughes said in Digest. “She basically goes and gives him an offer he can’t refuse. She wants him to find out what’s going on with Valentin and she sets it up in such a way that as much as he doesn’t want to spy on his client, he doesn’t really have a choice.”
