General Hospital spoilers reveal that Antonio Sabato Jr, an alum of GH, announced that his father has passed away. Antonio Sabato Sr.. played Aldo Damiano for seven episodes on The Bold And The Beautiful in 2006. He passed away at the age of 77 from COVID-19 complications.
General Hospital Spoilers – Alum Death Confirmed
On January 6, 2021, Sabato’s son shared on Twitter that his father had passed away. He had been in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this month. It is stated that the actor’s death was caused by complications from the virus. The actor’s son kept fans updated on his father’s health on the social networking site and on Wednesday, shared an old family photo.
GH Spoilers – Antonio Sabato Jr. Asked For Prayers
Days before the 77-year-old passed away, GH spoilers reveal that Antonio Sabato Jr. asked his social media followers to pray for his father. At that time, his father was in the ICU at a California hospital. He wrote, “My papa/dad is in intensive care with covid in California. Lord keep him surrounded by angels and pure God’s love & strength within.”
Just one day before Sabato Sr. passed away, his son gave another update on Twitter. He indicated that his father’s condition had worsened and mentioned not being able to see him due to COVID-19 safety measures put in place by the hospital.

On the same day that Sabato Jr. was asking everyone for prayers as his father battled COVID-19, he also vented on Twitter about masks. He shared a screenshot that read “science says healthy people should not wear masks” and listed reasons against the safety measure. He also refused to accept the election results and insisted that Donald Trump was going to lead the country for the next four years.
