General Hospital spoilers indicate that there’s a good chance that Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) might be getting too close for comfort, even though this doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Sure, Jason and Carly have always been the best of friends and Jason is one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) most trusted allies, but could he be crossing over to dangerous territory? That’s what fans want to know.

Jason risked his own safety to help get Carly out of Ferncliff when she was committed to the mental institution a few weeks ago. Sure, Sonny was worried, but it was Jason who took action and made sure that Carly was safe while keeping an eye out on her. But is there a chance that the two might take their friendship to the next level? As even daytime television fans know, anything is possible.

GH Spoilers – The Duo Are Friends Without Benefits

But according to Laura Wright, who plays Carly on the hit ABC soap, her character and Jason are friends, but without the benefits. She told the publication, “It’s the best friendship on the show. He’s like her safety net. It wouldn’t be a healthy relationship to rely on someone that much romantically… but as a friendship, it’s incredible.”

Still, with Sonny dealing with his own personal problems, it does seem as though Jason is the only person that Carly can truly rely on in her life. Of course, fans will have to continue to tune in for any possible clues as to what is next for this “friendly” duo!
