General Hospital Spoilers: Are Stella And Marcus On The Road To Romance?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) is in good spirits lately. She has reconnected in a great way with her old flame Marcus Godfrey (Nigel Gibbs). Stella and Marcus were involved way back in the day, but ended their relationship and fell out of touch for many years.
But recently, the two rediscovered each other after it was revealed that Marcus’ wife is an Alzheimer’s patient at Turning Woods along with Stella’s social work client Mike Corbin (Max Gail). It’s clear that there’s still a spark between Stella and Marcus, but there are some complications in the way.
General Hospital – Marcus Is Lonely But Dedicated To Yvonne
Of course, one clear complication is that Marcus is married. But his wife Yvonne Godfrey (Janet Hubert) doesn’t remember him or engage with him anymore due to her dementia, and she has started a relationship with fellow patient Mike. It’s a terrible hardship on Marcus, and he’s finding himself increasingly lonely, but he’s resigned to make sure his wife is happy.
It looks like Marcus and Stella are in a good place right now, and it’s likely that they’ll continue to reconnect. But how long before their old feelings start to resurface and they find themselves strongly attracted to each other again?
General Hospital – Will Destiny Bring Stella And Marcus Together Again?
It would be a delicate situation, since Marcus’ wife is still in the picture, but one has to wonder whether Stella and Marcus are destined to be together again. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) would certainly love to see that happen for his Auntie, as she’s put her life and happiness on hold for decades.

I think and hope they do reconnect. Markus could still care for his wife if he set himself up to still be in charge of her legally. But divorce her and start with Stella!! It might be a new possible law for the show and help both couples stay happy or at least stage a fake wedding for Mike and his wife then they can both be happy!!
This is a tough story line to call the wha’s and what nots. People don’t necessarily leave a loved one because of an illness. But then again, in a situation as this one, Marcus does have to go on with his life, especcially when his wife doesn’t even recognize him. Saw a program on tv last week where this situation was happening in real life. Their solution was to keep the sick spouse in the home with care, and the husband’s new interest was moved into the home and assisting with the care of the wife. They all seem to have boned very well, and are doing fine. The wife and the new interest from what was shown are the best of friends. I know this would be very hard for most to do or even consider, but it present a situation whereby the husband can continue with this life and also care for the wife of many years who doesn’t even recognize him at all, except during very rare moments and then for a short period of time. Not saying I agree with this approach, so please don’t write me with saying I’ m horrible, or how could I consider the proposed solution, just sharing a tv show of real life people handling the problem of a reel life couple. To get back to Stella and Marcus, not sure at this time as to how I feel about them being paired.
