General Hospital spoilers reveal Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) is poised to shake things up in Port Charles by getting into the business of one of the town’s most storied residents, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis). While the two have rarely interacted, the last time they found themselves in each other’s presence was a night they won’t soon forget.

Austin had just been hooked and Laura showed up with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) just in time for him to say goodbye to his brother, after Mac Scorpio (John J. York) shot him. With an intense history that really doesn’t bind them, one can’t help but wonder what prompts Austin to insert himself into Laura’s world now — months later. Laura might not realize it yet, but soon she’ll notice Ava might be behind Austin’s concealed intentions, and she’s going to have questions to follow up with.

Ava couldn’t bear the thought of being responsible if anything goes wrong. Laura seems dead set on chasing every lead she can sniff out, and Ava is just as concerned that one of those leads will eventually bring Laura right to her front door. Neither Ava or Austin need that drama.

Ava knows that slipping into Russia is not only dangerous, but also foolhardy. Laura is eager to find Nikolas, but at what cost? What happens when Laura doesn’t find Nikolas in Russia?

Will she continue to search and dig deeper into what really happened to him? Could an investigation into his whereabouts wind up with Laura questioning what happened to Nikolas after he left Wyndemere on Valentine’s Day.

That’s the last thing Ava needs, given that she believes Nikolas never made it off the property alive, but rather, was confiscated by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey). His remains could be in a freezer somewhere for all she knows as Ava is completely in the dark about Nik still being alive.
