General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Goes For Full Custody Of Avery With Sonny Missing, Carly Freaks?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is still missing after the footbridge he was standing on collapsed. The longer that Sonny remains missing, the less likely he will be found so it stands to reason that at some point he will be declared legally dead. While this will surely have a huge impact on Sonny’s business, it could mean changes to little Avery Jerome-Corinthos’ (Ava & Grace Scarola) custody.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Had Custody Of Avery Jerome-Corinthos Before He Went Missing.

While Sonny (Maurice Benard) had custody of Avery, he allowed Ava Jerome (Maura West) visitation. He’s softened a lot toward Ava in recent years and gradually he’s let her see Avery more and more. But it was always in Sonny’s complete control. Now that he is missing, and likely will be presumed dead soon, it seems more than likely that Ava will seek full custody of her child. And while Sonny’s wife, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) won’t like it, she may have no choice but to let Ava have Avery.

GH Spoilers – There’s A mob War Brewing In Port Charles!

Carly will likely have her hands full with the ongoing mob war against Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She might argue that Avery would be safer with Corinthos family, that is debatable. Cyrus has no problems harming children to get what he wants. But with Sonny at least temporarily gone, Cyrus is more likely to go after someone with closer ties to Carly or to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Carly might have to admit that Avery is better off with Ava right now.

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Ava Jerome And Nikolas Cassadine Take Avery Jerome-Corinthos To Wyndemere?

Besides, Ava is now a Cassadine living at Wyndemere. She’s married to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) who is more than capable of providing protection for little Avery. Gaining custody of Avery will likely bring Ava and Nikolas even closer together. Creating a family unit may just be the glue that holds the couple together. But there could still be another threat looming that Ava and Nikolas may not see coming. If Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) somehow manages to escape custody, he might find a way to Wyndemere himself. But you can bet that Ava and Nikolas will do everything in their power to keep any and all threats away from Avery, whether that be Cyrus or Ryan!
