The actor joined the cast of General Hospital in 2014, taking over the role of Jason Morgan, previously held by former The Young and the Restless co-star Steve Burton [ex-Dylan McAvoy]. When Burton returned to GH in 2017, producers and scribes needed to make room for both actors, and the character Drew Cain, the twin brother Jason Morgan, aka Jason Quartermaine, was created. A memory swap storyline was written to explain Drew and Jason’s presence in Port Charles.
General Hospital spoilers revealed Jason and Drew have banded together to build the treehouse Drew’s late son Oscar requested. The role has run its course and Billy Miller last airdate will be Monday, August 26.

The actor won’t be idle for long as he movies into primetime television. The Daytime Emmy winner’s next role will be on the crime drama Truth Be Told as Alex Dunn alongside Emmy winner Aaron Paul and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

The Young and the Restless spoilers have not yet addressed a possible return to the role of Billy Abbott. If General Hospital were to revive the role of Dr. Patrick Drake, it’s a possibility Jason Thompson, currently Billy Abbott on Y&R, would return to Port Charles.
GH spoilers and Y&R spoilers leave viewers of both daytime drama’s heads spinning. There are so many changes that could happen as the soaps play musical characters.
Was Billy Miller fired because his storyline came to an end or to make room for a return by Jason Thompson? Or, did Miller quit the ABC daytime drama to follow former co-star Michelle Stafford [ex-Nina Reeves, GH] back to The Young and the Restless where Michelle has reprised her role as Phyllis Summers.

Really hate to see him go Disgusting since Burton came back they kinda put him to the side. There is room for both of them to be friends and brothers. If only they would do that!
I have followed him for long time except for Y&R. That soap is way too boring to me!
Not really. He’s been uninteresting to watch. It became painfully obvious how much so once Steve burton returned. Although I will say, I did like him (Miller) as Billy Abbott on Y&R. He seemed much better suited to that role than he ever was to being a replacement Jason. He just never fit in to GH. Not his fault.

I love Billy Miller, he was so amazing as Jason/Drew. It is so sad to see him go. I hope he comes back soon. Thank you Billy for the love you gave to all of us.
I thought Billy Miller, was great at playing Jason Morgan. He made the role his on. A lot of us will be following him out the door. Where ever he goes we will be there. My friends and I will watch GH until Billy Miller leaves, we will no longer be watching. A lot of his fans feel the same way.

Billy we will miss you, I hate to see go GH you could have a good story with two going after the people who did this to them and it wasn’t just Based on other people were involved and y’all can have a really good storyline with this and you’re letting Billy Miller go and I would let him go he’s a part of the family just like Jason and like Steve Burton but you guys go do a lot and you’re letting a lot of storylines go and I think it’s wrong

The answer to the question was Billy Miller fired or did he just not renew his contract? Truth be told, we the viewers nor the writers of this spoiler blog will know the accurate answer to the question. Which ever way Billy’s departure occurred, it has happened and it is between Billy and GH/ABC, and with those individuals he wishes to share this part of his life with.
Absolutely! This is what happens when good actors are underused. They leave!
Billy left on his own he choose not to renew his contract and that’s a big if they even asked him to stay. He is better off. He is a talented young actor and he will find work .
