General Hospital Spoilers: Brad Caring Friend, Or Clearly Working For Someone Against JaBritt?

General Hospital spoilers suggest Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) didn’t hold back when he bumped into Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) at the hospital last week and asked him to head for the hills.

He doesn’t want the hunky mob enforcer anywhere near his bestie Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). It would appear Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) warnings to stay out of Britt’s personal life did not sink it.

Brad is determined to deter Britt from embracing Jason’s advances, and it surprised me to see him have the nerve to ask him to back off like he’s Britt’s daddy.

But it also made me wonder if Brad isn’t just being a caring friend who doesn’t want to see Britt get hurt. What if he’s working for the other side — like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) or Selina Wu (Lydia Look) — and they need Jason to steer clear of Britt and her undercover business?

If Memory Serves

Brad has never been big on morals. He’s pretty impulsive, and we usually don’t find out about whatever he is up to until after the fact.

So it wouldn’t surprise me to learn his real reason for coming home was to collect on an opportunity — especially if it’s one that he thinks will get him closer to a reunion with his ex-hubs, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

Could Brad be working with Sidwell to lure Lucas away from Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and keep Britt at bay where Jason is concerned? Would he really do them both that dirty? Who are we kidding? Of course he would!

GH Spoilers Say Brad is Broke

Don’t forget that Brad is also broke. He spent all of his little windfall in virtually one place and came home ready to lick his wounds. Opportunity might’ve knocked when he got there. He already said he had heard about Britt’s revival — so was that before or after he got back to Port Chuck?

If he’s having money woes, it makes sense that he would stoop super low to make a buck. He’s always been that type. It’s possible that there is some other cash cow with his Aunt Selin in the mix, and we may even discover Sidwell and Selina are allies.

A Solid Cover Story

It’ll be hard for Britt — or anyone else — to poke holes in Brad’s claims that he’s just looking out for his gal pal. After all, these two have been two peas in a pod for years.

It’s not completely out of the ordinary for them to step outside the boundaries of friendship — and by that I mean overstep — and make demands that the other would never cosign.

Britt is bound to be ticked when she learns Brad tried to scare Jason off, and it’s likely she will find out. But it’s also likely she’ll forgive him, because he’s Brad and she’ll buy his story.

Still, that doesn’t mean it’s true. She better watch her back. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
