Later, when Lucas and Brad were married, he conspired with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) to pass off her living baby with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) as the baby he and Lucas had adopted from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

Willow’s biological baby had died, but Brad kept the truth hidden and allowed everyone to believe Nelle and Michael’s son was the child Lucas and Brad had adopted.

That was years before Nelle and Willow were discovered to be Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) separated twin daughters.

Brad certainly has a history of deception, but becoming a full-fledged mobster would take his criminal activities to another level.

Brad was convinced to work in Selina’s high-stakes poker game several years back, which she ran in the back room of the Savoy, although he certainly wasn’t a henchman.

He was still too timid to be anything remotely close, even afraid to deliver poisoned food to someone in Pentonville.

As Celebrating The Soaps previously reported, Selina had big plans for Brad and wanted to draw him deeper into her criminal organization.

Selina would have loved to use Brad’s medical knowledge and experience with labs and chemistry to develop deadly poisons to use on her enemies!

But Brad wasn’t ready to step beyond card games before both he and his aunt left town. He was still the timid “lab rat.”

Even around a year ago, when he spent time with his old bestie Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and tried to get back together with Lucas, he hadn’t changed much.

However, Selina has never been someone who gives up easily when she wants something.

In fact, Celebrating The Soaps recently explored whether Selina is planning to take over Sonny’s former mob territory.

That means there’s a better-than-even chance that even though Selina and Sonny were both outbid for the piers they wanted, she’s more than likely hanging around.

As Celeb Dirty Laundry reported in its October 12 recap, Selina returned to Port Charles with plans involving Sonny’s old piers.

Will Brad prove to have graduated from wimpy nephew to henchman and possibly become the leader-in-training of the Wu crime family?

There’s a very good possibility that might happen.

After all, Brad’s new confidence could be a sign that Selina has finally gotten her wish!

I have to admit, Brad’s new attitude caught my attention!

He certainly didn’t look like the same nervous lab tech who used to be terrified of getting involved in Selina’s business.

If Selina has spent all this time grooming Brad to take over her criminal empire, Port Charles could be in for a huge surprise.

But can Brad really become a ruthless mob boss, or will his old insecurities eventually get the better of him?
