She temporarily played the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine. The General Hospital actress also said that it’s time to pass the baton back to actress Amanda Setton. GH spoilers reveal that in February, it was announced that Setton was leaving the soap. However, it was just temporary and for a very good reason. The actress confirmed she was pregnant and in light of the COVID-19 global health crisis, it only made sense for her to be as safe as possible. However, the character of Brook Lynn was not going anywhere.

GH Spoilers – Briana Lane Temporarily Fills In

Fans then learned that Lane was going to be setting in temporarily for Setton. Now, usually recasts, even temporary ones, aren’t viewed favorably by fans. However, Lane was an exception and she really won the hearts of viewers everywhere. But the time has come for Lane to leave, which she confirmed on Twitter.

 General Hospital Spoilers – Beautiful Goodbye Message

General Hospital spoilers reveal that on Twitter, Lane posted her goodbye to fans, but it was done in such a graceful and beautiful way. The first part of her post reads,

“Playing the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine on @GeneralHospital has been an absolute joy + honor. Feel lucky to have been surrounded by such a gifted cast, kind crew + passionate producers these past 4 months + it’s an experience that I will always hold close to my heart…”

GH Spoilers – Amanda Setton Returning

Even though Sutton and the soap have not confirmed if or when Setton will return, it seems to be “unofficially confirmed” through Lane’s Twitter post.

“And HUGE thank you to all the fans who have been so welcoming to the new kid! Your support has meant the world. Passing the baton back to beautiful + mega-talented Amanda Setton. Looking forward to watching what will definitely be a new and exciting chapter for BLQ! #GH”

Fans reacted on Twitter by commenting what a wonderful job Lane did while filling in as Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Even though Setton is a fan-favorite character, they admitted that it must have been tough to fill such big shoes, but Lane did an outstanding job. We wish Lane the absolute best in her future endeavors and can’t wait for Setton to come back.

      Really loved Briana in the role. No offense to the returning actress but I hope she tones down her mannerisms and comes across less abrasive.
