General Hospital Spoilers: Briana Lane Replaces Amanda Sutton As Brook Lynn Quartermaine Temporarily

ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that Amanda Setton will be replaced temporarily on the ABC sudser by Briana Lane according to Soap Opera Digest. Lane’s credits include Young & Hungry, The Real Housewives of Horror, and The New Normal.

Lane will be seen for the first time in today’s episode. She is a temporary recast of Brook Lynn Quartermaine while Setton is on maternity leave. The lovely and talented actress will be off the show while she awaits the birth of her third child with her husband.

Setton told Soap Opera Digest that she has been, “really excited and eager to jump back into GH, due to the many unknowns with COVID 19 and expectant mothers, it was advised for us to wait it out.”

The show got back to production recently and began airing new episodes this week. Fans will see both actresses this week as Setton has been seen in General Hospital scenes through Wednesday, August 5 and Lane appears beginning Thursday, August 6.

Setton went on to say, “I love being a part of the GH family. It’s not only a privilege to be a part of such a special legacy but it’s downright fun! From the crew to the writers and executives and of course my fellow castmates, I have missed and will continue to miss my interactions and collaboration will all of them during this time.”

Setton has the best of both worlds with both a soap awaiting her return and her baby awaiting its debut!

Setton added about her character, “Brook Lynn is a fierce, feisty, flawed, and lovable character — with a heart of gold.” What she didn’t say is that her heart of gold usually ends up causing endless headaches for her loved ones. It appears that Brook Lynn is set to make another epic fail by partnering with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) in his bid to take over her family’s business, ELQ.

According to Setton Brook Lynn, “has a knack for always stirring up and getting into trouble but at her core, she truly cares about her family and what’s best for them. I will miss her, but only temporarily! Looking forward to stepping back into her shoes soon enough!”
