General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may soon have a threat to his leadership of ELQ. As viewers may recall, Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) offered to help Michael out when he was taking care of Wiley Cooper-Jones. This was to be temporary until Michael was able to resume his CEO duties. But now that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has returned, will she have other ideas?

Although Tracy told her family that her return to Port Charles was just a visit for the holidays, it seems obvious that she has another purpose for her return. Over the holidays, Tracy has made several comments about ELQ and the way it’s being run. Tracy apparently isn’t happy with the current leadership of her family’s company. Could she be looking to have Michael replaced?

Most likely, Tracy will want Ned to take back over the company. Ned was the mayor of Port Charles for a long time, so that kept him occupied and away from ELQ. But he lost the last election to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) so he has been aimless for about a year now. Deep down, he likely wants to get back in the game. So a little prodding from Tracy might convince him to try to take back over.

Spoilers indicate that Tracy’s return happening at the same time that Ned’s daughter Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton) returned to the fold is not a coincidence. Could Tracy be behind the iron-clad contract that Brook Lynn signed with her new manager? Could this be Tracy’s way of manipulating Brook Lynn to working for ELQ? This seems likely, as Tracy has already suggested that Brook become a junior executive at the company.
