General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) head will explode when she finds out that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) report back that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was who they found in the mystery patient’s old room!
Now, this could have been arranged by Ryan Chamberlain as his twin Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) in order to deflect attention away from himself and from Ferncliff. After all, he’s still got his brother stashed in there somewhere, no doubt under heavy sedation.
Ryan might think that Carly will jump to accuse Nelle of planting her hair in Mary Pat Ingles’ (Patricia Bethune) cold dead hand to frame her, assuming perhaps that the murder took place in Ferncliff and then her body was taken to Port Charles and separated and posed.
This, of course, will just add more confusion to an already confusing murder case. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) should tell the police that he’d seen Mary Pat’s work badge down on the docks, that way they’d be looking in the right place for the murder scene and be able to gather some evidence if it is not by now forensically compromised.

However, when Carly finds out Nelle was in Ferncliff she will agree with Jason and Sam that Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) should find out exactly who arranged for that transfer! Even if she does hate Nelle with a passion, she knows that Nelle just doesn’t have the strings to pull to have gotten herself out of Pentonville and into Ferncliff….she would have had to have had some help! Other General Hospital spoilers tease that those results will lead to “Kevin” which will eventually lead to Ryan being found out and the real Kevin being rescued.
It’s still unclear how Ryan would have gotten enough of Carly’s hair to put into Mary Pat’s hand, and even then, if the hair has no roots then it would not have been pulled out of her head. Hair from a brush might yield DNA but it won’t prove a struggle with a murderer. General Hospital fans would think Ryan would be smarter than that (not to mention the Port Charles Police)!
But then, twenty-five years ago forensic science was in its infancy, and he may not have thought to study up on modern forensics—and that might just be his biggest mistake, the one that leads to his exposure and arrest!
