General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Takes Over For Sonny — And Wages War With Selina

General Hospital spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plan to take down his dear old dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), will come to a premature and explosive climax. After Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) decides he’s going to stay with the mob, Michael’s plan will be foiled. Unfortunately, that’s going to happen a bit too late to turn back the clock. The damage will be done as Dex realizes only after Sonny takes the fall for the Pikeman deal that he made the wrong decision.

Dex may pray that his boss never figures out he was behind any of it, but if Michael wants to take credit for ruining his dad, Sonny could quickly piece together Dex’s involvement with him. Still, Sonny will have bigger fish to fry from behind bars as he wonders who is going to keep his family — and his territory — safe.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Has Other Enemies

It won’t take long for Dex to come to terms with what he’s done and how much he regrets it, and that’s going to lead to Michael’s plan backfiring in a major way. Unfortunately, instead of carrying out the mission, Dex has taken a liking to life in the criminal underworld and is now looking to redeem himself by coming clean – leaving Michael in the dust.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will be the only person in Sonny’s corner who is capable of holding down the fort while he’s in handcuffs. If Carly comes to the rescue and takes over for Sonny while he’s away, it could cause a serious rift with the Five Families — and most especially with Selina Wu (Lydia Look). Any cooperation they give her could be short-lived as Selina has set her sights on Sonny’s space in the mob circuit.

GH Spoilers – Leak The Family Will Suffer

Serious change will lie ahead for the entire Corinthos clan. Carly’s life has already been in flux ever since she lost her half of the Metro Court Hotel. She’s not been sure what she was going to do with her future, and now it may look like she’s going to be saddled with running Sonny’s business for quite some time.

The trouble doesn’t end there. Not only will Michael’s entire family be outraged with him when they find out what he’s done, but they’re going to be in danger. Carly’s willingness to take the reins from Sonny will have little to do with saving his income or pride, and everything to do with keeping their children’s safety. It’s unfortunate that Michael didn’t consider this consequence of his actions prior to taking them.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Is War

Selina likely decided to make moves against Sonny long ago; she just didn’t have the capital and opportunity to do it. When he’s thrown in the pen, she will be ready to pounce — on Carly. Michael is certain to struggle with some serious regret when he realizes the sacrifices Carly will have to make to maintain control over the situation — including the possibility that she will have to part ways with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
