General Hospital spoilers confirm that fans found out last week that Chad Brannon was returning to the long-running ABC soap opera. Most of the time, actors would come back as their characters. However, Zander Smith died so how is this going to play out? Will he come back as a ghost or dream? In any case, the actor shared a video of himself walking to the set.

GH spoilers reveal that Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) son, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is Zander. He died of a gunshot wound that happened on-screen. While in the real world people stay dead, it’s not necessarily the case for soaps. There is speculation that Brannon could be coming back not as his former character, but as someone else. However, there is also the possibility that we really will see Zander… just not in the flesh.

GH Spoilers – Ghost Or Dream?

We know that Cameron is going to be in bad shape, mentally and emotionally. It is teased that he will go through something that absolutely destroys him. This would actually be the perfect time for the teen to get some “help” from a family member. Many times when people are at their lowest, they “see” deceased loved ones that help them through it. Sometimes they recognize these people as family members and other times don’t realize they were a parent or grandparent until much later.

Plus, remember last year when Cameron suddenly mentioned his father? That was probably the biggest clue. So, it seems that Cameron might “see” his father in either a dream or perhaps as a ghost. After all, “ghosts” have helped other characters on the soap.

GH Spoilers – Chad Brannon Shares Video

On Instagram, Brannon showed himself at Prospect Studio walking to the set. He didn’t give away any details about his character return. While many outlets are assuming “dead Zander” is back, that actually hasn’t been confirmed yet. They say everyone has a twin in this world and maybe he just looks like Zander. That might be interesting for Elizabeth and Cameron, but it’s also been done so much in the soap world. Hopefully, this will have a unique twist and fans will be happy with what happens. All we can do is keep watching the find out.
