Specifically, he suspects Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), although he thinks Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had a lot to do with it, too.
Since he’s retained Monet for his divorce from Brook Lynn, it’s not a great leap to recommend her to Willow—and he’s not the lawyer, so there’s no conflict of interest.
Monet might just jump at the chance to represent a congresswoman, although she’ll warn Chase to keep his distance from the case.
If Chase gets too involved in Willow’s case, he’ll sabotage his own child custody case because he’ll be proving the Quartermaines’ point—especially Tracy’s.

That begs the question of whether she’s even been hired or if she’s just hoping to be—but she’s picking up cases left and right!
One for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and two for Chase—although he has to step away from Willow’s defamation case, even though he started it.
Monet claims she was a successful lawyer with her own practice out in California, but no one has really checked out her background.
One thing is certain: she’s determined to make her own name in Port Charles!
Monet Could Take Willow’s Case Against Lulu
Monet could take Willow’s case against Lulu, although Chase is actually the one who pushed her toward it.
He wouldn’t let Willow be talked out of it by Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
But not everyone trusts Monet. Will Willow trust her with such an important case, even though she doesn’t know her from Eve?
The main problem is simply that she’s new in town, but she makes such a strong impression that no one even thinks to check out her claims.
She certainly seems to know what she’s doing!
As far as Chase is concerned, he knows that Willow is being defamed. He doesn’t believe she could possibly be capable of the things she’s being accused of.
Monet may have to keep warning him to keep his distance, lest he mess up his chances for custody of Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton).
