General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Is Spared By Mac, But the Truth Will Still Come Out

General Hospital spoilers spill Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is on his way to the big house. That is, unless Mac Scorpio (John J. York) can save him from himself in time. Mac already so much as hinted to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) that Cody needs someone to look out for him, but it can’t be him this time. When Sam goes out of her way to intervene and help Cody out, he may not be as receptive as she has hoped.

Of course, Sam has no idea what Cody has been going through with Selina Wu (Lydia Look). It’s not as simple as just opting out of a poker game and making himself scarce before the PCPD storms the place. If Max wants Cody to stay out of trouble, he may have to handle this on his own.

Sam won’t understand why Cody isn’t receptive to her heads-up. Who wouldn’t want to be tipped off that a major takedown is about to ensue so they could make sure they weren’t around for it?

Cody might be appreciative, but it’s likely he will know Sam didn’t get this inside information about the PCPD being on Selina’s tail from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

He would never share information about a case with a civilian — even one he’s in love with. But Mac is a bit less rigid and a bit more accustomed to years of police life with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). It will dawn on Cody that Mac could’ve put this bug in Sam’s ear, but why?

Cody is oblivious to just how hurt Mac was when it turned out Cody wasn’t his son. Ever since then, he can’t shake the feeling that he needs to look out for Cody, despite them having little to do with one another.

Of course, he did once love Cody’s mother, Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson). That might be the easiest way for Mac to explain himself at least when he learns that Sam wasn’t able to convince Cody to back down and decides to take matters into his own hands.

In the process of trying to make sure Cody doesn’t end up in jail, Mac’s whole world will be turned upside down alongside his son’s. That’s right. The truth is coming out and rumor has it this storyline won’t even take 6-12 months like so many others.

When Selina is taken in by the PCPD, and Cody is conveniently left out of the equation, she’s going to do the math and assume he must have turned her in to save his own skin. That’s when Selina will drop a bombshell on Mac — and Cody, who never knew she was aware of his true paternity.

When Selina reveals that Cody lied about Mac not being his father, the good cop will be stunned. Adding insult to injury, she will lay out the details of how Cody needed to appear to be Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia) son to get his hands on the Ice Princess necklace.
