General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) could be someone different than we thought all along; many theories have been proposed. But until now, no one ever speculated that he could be the son of a returning character-namely, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

General Hospital Spoilers – Could Dex Heller Be Another Character’s Son?

Earlier this year, Evan chatted with Soap Opera Digest about the intriguing possibility of being another character’s son, such as Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) or John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

Despite having not yet shared any scenes with Steve Burton at the time, Evan mentioned that Steve is incredibly kind and they’ve even shared hugs at work.

Fans quickly began speculating about the potential connection between Dex and Jason, or the idea that he could be another one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) love children.

The thought of a family conflict arising from this revelation is definitely a juicy storyline twist! However, it doesn’t preclude there being another Corinthos family connection other than being Sonny’s kid!

GH Spoilers – Dex Heller Has Always Been A Mysterious Figure

Dex has always been shrouded in mystery, with a hidden past that fits him like a glove. Ever since he arrived in Port Charles, he’s been harboring a multitude of secrets.

GH fans were introduced to him in May 2022, when he temporarily stepped in as the manager of Volonino Gym in place of Chet Driscoll.

Dex put in a lot of effort to earn Sonny’s trust, only for it to be revealed that he was actually hired by Michael Corinthos to bring Sonny down. Despite being a crucial member of Sonny’s mob family for two years, Dex found himself falling for Josslyn Jacks, Sonny’s ex-stepdaughter.

In a surprising turn of events, Dex risked his life to save Sonny by taking a bullet for him, all while secretly working against him on Michael’s orders.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dex  Heller And Josslyn Jacks Secretly Dated

Michael soon discovered that Dex and Josslyn were keeping their relationship under wraps, only for Joss to later learn that Dex was actually working for him. The situation took a dangerous turn when Sonny uncovered the secret romance, putting everyone at risk.

Dex possessed recordings that could have incriminated Sonny, but Michael decided to hand them over to his mother as a bargaining chip with the SEC.

Unfortunately, Carly Spencer ended up destroying the tape, refusing to use it to save herself because she didn’t want to mess up Sonny! Dex was then forced to stay undercover in order to protect Sonny.

GH Spoilers – Dex Heller Was Supposed To Leave Town

Dex intended to leave town, and Sonny had plans to take him out. Fortunately, Carly and Joss stepped in to stop that from happening, but later, Dex decided to break things off with Joss.

She, however, found him, and they began to patch things up just as Jason made his return, leading them to save Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Instead of making his exit, Dex opted to confess to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and thanks to her support, he is now on the path to becoming a police cadet.

Hofer mentioned to SOD that he sees potential in Dex as a cop, but he isn’t pursuing it to win Josslyn back; feeling unworthy of both the badge and her affection.

General Hospital Spoilers – So Who Could Dex Heller’s Father Really Be?

If Dex’ is related to the Corinthos family, as Evan had wished in a quote from SOD expressing his desire to be related to Sonny, he could be in luck.

Evan was emotional when he discovered in the script he wouldn’t be working with Sonny anymore, which meant he wouldn’t get to see Maurice Benard, whom he greatly admires, as frequently. He shared that “Mo” had been an amazing mentor, and he would genuinely miss their collaboration.

Dex arrived in town seemingly familiar with Michael and trusting him—he was prepared to betray Sonny while still working for him, even with his life on the line.

Now, another member of the Corinthos clan is returning to Port Charles—Sonny’s half-brother, Ric-could it be that Ric is Dex’s father?
