General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Can’t Be Pikeman — Here’s Why

General Hospital spoilers report fans are abuzz with theories that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is linked to the Pikeman Group, but we have a few theories as to why that’s not necessarily the case. When Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) went to Pentonville to check up on the cardiac patient, he also used the visit as an opportunity to tell Cyrus he wanted out from under his thumb.

Finally, the truth is out. Cyrus is the one ordering Austin and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) around, and many are assuming that also means he is somehow linked to Pikeman. But this makes little sense since Cyrus is so interested in learning what Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is up to with the federal defense contractor.

General Hospital Spoilers — Leverage Over Ava Jerome Was Key

Cyrus needed any leverage he could get his hands on that would give him a way to attack Sonny. A sniper in his warehouse wasn’t going to cut it, clearly.

Attacks on his family, courtesy of Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) hook, still weren’t enough to bring the don to his knees.

Instead, Cyrus needed dirt — and if he couldn’t get it on Sonny, then he needed it on someone close to him. Enter Ava.

Austin appeared at just the right time to scoop up her allegedly dead husband and appear to entrap himself in a conspiracy with her.

Ava would come to trust Austin because they were both on the hook for a crime, but the whole time, it appears Austin was just acting as Cyrus’ lackey.

GH Spoilers – Ask What Was The Point Of Betty Rutherford?

Cyrus wanted documents on Sonny’s meeting times with Pikeman. If he was Pikeman, he wouldn’t need that kind of information. He wouldn’t need to send Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) into the don’s penthouse to rifle through his laptop unsupervised in search of anything to use against him.

Cyrus may not have set Sonny up with Pikeman, but he clearly learned about their entanglement and sought to capitalize on Sonny’s risky move.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cyrus Renault Has Been Lying All Along

It appears Cyrus has been spinning tall tales ever since he went back to prison. He may believe he has found God and that this higher power is guiding him to take Sonny down, but the reality is his means of doing so are just as terrible as any move Sonny makes in the business.

Furthermore, someone should remind Cyrus that God knows his heart, and knows if Cyrus is making moves against Sonny out of revenge and malice. Ouch! What say you?
