General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Questions Cody’s Motives In Suing The WSB

General Hospital spoilers report Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is about to share his excitement with his best friend, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). He didn’t want to get his hopes up until he reconvened with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), but now that it looks like his lawsuit against the WSB has been green-lit, he’s ready to tell Dante all about it. Expecting excitement on Dante’s part, Cody will be taken aback when he gets just the opposite. Why doesn’t Dante think this is a good move?

Cody’s alleged inheritance was taken from him; isn’t he entitled to that? At first, Dante might assume that Cody must be joking. He can’t chase after an inheritance that isn’t rightfully his, nor Serena Baldwins’ (Carly Shroeder). But Dante knows the truth – Cody is Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) son — not Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia). Furthermore, any lawsuit thrown at the WSB could lead to people poking around within the organization and potentially exposing Dante’s past with them. He certainly can’t have that, but he will hide behind excuses about Cody’s paternity instead.

When Cody tells Dante what he’s up to, he might expect his friend to be happy for him. It’s almost as though Cody believes his own lies at times. Did he forget entirely that he’s already told his best friend about his lie regarding the paternity test? Mac is Cody’s real father, so how can Cody possibly expect Dante to support him in a move that is defrauding a federal government organization and the courts?

Dante will really lay into Cody over this one. He knows they don’t operate by the same moral code, but he thought his friend was trying to turn his life around. Why is he trying to sue a federal organization for a crime they committed against someone else while pretending they did it to him? Furthermore, Dante will question whether Cody has been honest with Serena or Scott about his paternity problem. Cody isn’t going to want to answer those questions.

General Hospital Spoilers — What About Mac Scorpio?

Moreover, the big question hovering over both of them will be: what about Mac? It seems as though Cody has no intention of ever coming clean to his father – at least until he gets what he is lying to himself about being owed. Dante could put him on the spot inquiring as to whether he has any plans to fork over the entire inheritance to Serena, but neither of them are going to like the answer to that question.

Besides, Serena isn’t entitled to any of it either; Cody is just being nice and willing to share it with her. That’s going to give Dante a real laugh. It doesn’t look like Cody’s secret is coming out anytime soon, but the lawsuit could certainly bring such to light. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
