General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Had His Own Agenda — Michael Makes Disturbing Discovery

General Hospital spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) pounced on the opportunity to go to work for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as a covert plant inside of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization to take the whole thing down. Michael couldn’t have been more pleased with Dex’s background and attention to detail, but he glossed over one very important detail of his own — who is Dex and why does he want to help with this particular task?

Michael thought he was just hiring a random private contractor, but he was actually hiring Sonny’s son. Of course, Sonny won’t be able to blame Michael for his sloppy hire, because he didn’t catch it himself before he brought Dex on board.

General Hospital Spoilers — Lily Corinthos And Sonny Corinthos Had A Baby Boy

Sonny was first married to Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar), despite the disapproval of her father, Hernando Rivera (Ismael ‘East’ Carlo). Hernando wanted to see Sonny dead before his daughter could even think about spending her life with him. As Lily and Sonny prepared to welcome their child in just nine months, they had no idea their days were numbered.

When Lily was killed in a car explosion meant for Sonny and planted by Hernando, Sonny went off the rails vowing revenge, which never came. Over the years, he’s kept Lily close to his heart, but never imagined she was still alive out there — with his son, Dex.

Yes, Hernando staged the whole car explosion to look like his daughter died when he was actually aiming to take her away from Sonny. He spent considerable time making sure she was poisoned against Sonny, and eventually it stuck. She raised her child to have the same mindset — that Sonny was a monster who wanted nothing to do with them and they were better off not knowing him.

If only that had stuck with Dex the way it did with Lily. Dex has his own agenda. On the surface, it seems like he wants to take his father down for, well, never being a father. But on the inside, Dex is growing a soft spot for the mobster and wonders if he’ll ever have “ a dad.”
