General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has been gone a hot minute from Port Charles, New York, and already the rumor mill is on fire about his return.

Adding fuel to the fire is the actor’s mysterious Insta post about Dex that has led fans to speculate that he hinted that Dante Falconeri is Dex’s father. Here’s what to know about the hot topic.

Dex got off to a slippery slope with his boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He was a plant hired by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to send his dad to jail.

Things eventually worked out, but it resulted in a second deception by Dex. And it turns out Sonny hates traitors, so fans were not surprised that he sent Dex away. The exit occurred in the February 16 episode of the ABC soap.

Sonny could have killed Dex but he told the minion that he would allow him to leave town and never be heard from again. Dex hated breaking Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) heart, but he had no choice. One week later, fans are talking about who Dex’s father is.

At one time fans were convinced that Sonny was Dex’s dad. Hofer is reigniting the ‘who’s the daddy’ debate with a recent Instagram post.

Hofer posted photos from a New York City trip, with one showing a store called Falconeri. Falconeri is Dante’s last name, a fact that did not escape fans’ notice as they peppered his account with questions about the pic.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Dex Heller A Falconeri?

One poster wrote “Haha love the Falconeri hint” while another said “Torn between this is getting what we want or are we getting trolled hard.”

For his part Hofer told Soap Opera Digest that he’s aware of the daddy rumors. The outlet asked him if he knew fans were speculating about John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) being Dex’s dad.

Evan said he did know and pointed out that some fans think he is the son of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) who is returning to the soap in March.

He said “I’ve met John [actor Adam Harrington] in passing, and he’s very kind, and I haven’t had any scenes with Steve, but I have hugged him at work.” He added “There are too many historical intricacies that I don’t understand to say, but I just know whatever the writers decide in whatever cool way sounds good to me.”
