General Hospital Spoilers: Dex’s Loyalty Seems To Lie With Sonny More Than Joss – Is It a Dealbreaker?

General Hospital spoilers tease Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is hungry for power. He yearns for the satisfaction of knowing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) approves of the work he’s doing and trusts him to get the job done right without needing oversight. For whatever reason, Sonny’s approval means more to Dex than his own girlfriend’s happiness as of late. It seems that the longer he works with the mob boss, the more respect he has for him.

In contrast, the longer he is in a relationship with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), the more she feels like he’s lost interest in their once fun-loving union. Dex is going to bare all to Joss soon in hopes of helping her understand why Sonny is so important to him, but he might not get the reception he hoped for by being so honest.

General Hospital Spoilers — Joss Jacks Is Lonely And Drifting Away

Joss has been pretty patient and understanding of Dex’s job so far. Although she never wanted him to be involved in such a dangerous line of work in the first place, she’s reasonable enough to understand that this is who Dex was when she met him.

She knows well enough from growing up surrounded by the mob that few ever just walk away from it. Dex had his chance to get out and he didn’t want to.

Despite having rather materialistic reasons for wanting to keep his job with Sonny, she didn’t seem to lose any interest in the guy.

Being repeatedly ditched for “work” is wearing on Joss, and she’s starting to feel like this relationship may not be worth the heartache of always coming second.

GH Spoilers – Claim Dex Heller Is Sure He Wants This Relationship

Joss wasn’t thrilled when Dex broke plans with her once again in favor of tending to Sonny’s latest emergency. As usual, she was left waiting for whenever he’s done with her boyfriend.

Instead of moping over it, she joined her friends for the concert Dex was missing — and had a few too many drinks along the way.

As Dex tried to explain the severity of the situation to a not-so-sober Joss, she may have been questioning why his primary concern was still Sonny, despite her disheveled state.

Shouldn’t he feel guilty, as though she would’ve held it together and not gone off on a bender had he not abandoned ship — again?

Dex may try to reassure Joss that she is a priority in his life, but his preoccupation with Sonny will trump all.

General Hospital Spoilers — He May Want The Mob More

It’s true. Dex has fallen for the mob life. He took this job as a covert spy and somehow managed to fall in love with the dirty work and reputation that comes with it.

Sonny has become like family to him, and he doesn’t mind learning the ropes from the best and being led around like a dog.

Unfortunately, Joss is battling Sonny for the leash around Dex’s neck and it appears that his reach from prison will be long enough to continue impeding Joss’ plans for their relationship.
