General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Connects The Dots – Willow’s Deadly Secret Exposed?

Elizabeth starts connecting the dots after Lulu's explosive article raises disturbing questions about Willow's treatment of Drew

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will want answers from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) after reading Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) article.

That’s hardly surprising since Elizabeth already had questions when Willow was caring for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

In fact, Elizabeth became suspicious when Willow resisted getting Drew something that could help him communicate more effectively.

Now that Lulu’s article has raised even more troubling questions, Elizabeth may finally be ready to confront Willow.

Key Takeaways

  • Elizabeth questions Willow’s behavior.
  • Lulu’s article raises new suspicions.
  • Drew’s medical condition remains troubling.
  • Elizabeth connects disturbing clues.
  • Willow faces some difficult questions.

Elizabeth Suspected Something Was Wrong

Elizabeth wanted to give Willow the benefit of the doubt, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something strange was happening inside the Cain house.

She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but Willow’s reluctance to accept communication aids for Drew raised a red flag.

With those aids, Drew might have been able to communicate much more effectively instead of relying on a series of blinks.

That’s one reason Elizabeth was so forthcoming when Lulu began asking questions about Drew’s care and medical condition.

Both Elizabeth and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) found it suspicious that Drew and Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) had both suffered apparent strokes inside the Cain house.

Even more troubling, medical testing didn’t reveal an obvious explanation for their conditions.

Elizabeth No Longer Trusts Willow

Elizabeth wanted to believe Willow was innocent, but now she’s having second thoughts.

The attempted murder weapon, a gun from Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) collection, was discovered in the bedroom where Elizabeth had allowed Willow to stay after her breakup with Drew.

That discovery ultimately contributed to Willow’s arrest and trial.

Now, with Lulu’s article bringing more troubling details to light, Elizabeth is beginning to put the pieces together.

Willow’s innocence no longer seems quite so certain.

There are simply too many things that don’t add up, and Elizabeth knows it’s time to ask some hard questions.

Elizabeth Demands Answers About Drew

Elizabeth and Drew were once close when her boys were still young.

At the time, Drew had amnesia and was going by the name Jake Doe, partly because of his connection with Jake Webber (Hudson West).

That history makes the allegations surrounding Drew’s condition even more disturbing for Elizabeth.

Now she wants answers from Willow about the claims raised in Lulu’s article.

Could Willow really have shot Drew and later injected him with a paralytic to make it appear that he had suffered a stroke, leaving him with locked-in syndrome?

Naturally, Willow is expected to deny the accusations.

But Elizabeth may no longer be willing to accept those denials at face value.

It’s difficult for her to imagine that someone who was once an excellent nurse could be capable of such behavior.

Still, the evidence and unanswered questions are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

Annemarie’s Take

I think Elizabeth has every reason to start questioning Willow. The whole situation with Drew’s medical care was suspicious from the beginning, especially Willow’s reluctance to let him communicate properly.

And now Lulu’s article has given Elizabeth even more reasons to wonder what’s really going on.

What bothers me most is that Willow was a nurse. She knows exactly how vulnerable a patient can be, and if these allegations are true, that’s a pretty disturbing betrayal of everything she was trained to do.

I also think Elizabeth deserves some credit for noticing that something wasn’t right.

But will she finally get the truth out of Willow, or will Willow manage to talk her way out of another confrontation?

What do you think? Should Elizabeth expose Willow’s secrets, or is she jumping to conclusions? Let us know in the comments below!
