General Hospital Spoilers: Fatherhood In Brando’s Future – Whose Baby Will Offer Second Chance After Dev’s Death?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that in Genoa City, NY fatherhood may be in Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) future – for real this time!  GH fans know Brando posed as the bio dad of Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab).  What started out as a simple arrangement turned into a sweet bond.

Although it wasn’t quite like a true father-son relationship, Dev (Ashton Arbab) and Brando (Johnny Wactor) still appreciated each other. Brando might’ve become a full-fledged father figure to Dev if their connection had continued to grow.

Sadly, Dev met a grim fate in the recent explosion at The Floating Rib. It’s clear that Dev’s death is hitting Brando harder than he thought it would. It’s just tough for Brando to wrap his head around a great kid like Dev being gone so soon.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) thought Brando had plenty of time to get to know Dev back when they talked about him in September. Brando won’t have the chance now, but another one of Maxie’s predictions might come true.

During Maxie’s visit to the garage, she suggested Brando still had time to put a little one in the car seat. Brando ultimately admitted he wouldn’t mind the idea of more kids someday. Now that Dev is gone, Brando’s grief is showing how much he cares. Although Brando’s doing his best to be stoic, it’s easy to see that this ordeal is affecting him.

GH writers could easily be setting up Brando’s second chance at fatherhood. Of course, that could come in the form of being a stepdad. If Brando ends up getting together with Maxie after things fall apart with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), that’d be one path to being a fill-in father again.

However, it’d also be fun to see Brando have a baby of his own with someone like Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) or another woman on canvas. Once Brando’s done working for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), it could open the door to more romantic shockers and shakeups – including a child!
