General Hospital Spoilers: Furious Curtis Goes After Drew When Stella Suffers A Stroke

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that patient advocate Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) could be heading toward a stroke crisis.

Along the way, will the insurance fraud investigation that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) set off bring about her downfall?

During the week of August 18-22, Stella spits and sputters when officials confront her about a case of insurance fraud. Let’s take a look back at why this is happening.

Martin Grey’s Big Mouth

Stella was an angel when she interfered with Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) insurance paperwork. He bragged to Drew that Stella pulled strings behind the scenes for him.

Stella was looking out for a friend and Martin definitely had a need that the insurance should have covered. However, in order to provide Martin with the required services, Stella may have bent a rule or two.

GH Presents Moral Dilemma

Ther is no greater defender of patients and their needs than Stella. She is up against the insurance conglomerates and in the case of Martin, she may see her actions come back to bite her.

Stella is interrogated in the August 18 episode, and spoilers hint that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) jumps to help someone out in the August 19 episode.

Lucas is just as self-righteous as Stella, so it will be interesting to see if he has leapt to her defense.
All of the anxiety presented with the confrontation gets to Stella and it is not hard to believe that the tension affects her negatively.

Will Stella Be OK?

Stella has already had a stroke, and another one may leave her life in jeopardy. Unfortunately, Lucas will deliver a hard update on August 20, which means that Stella could be in bad shape.

Then, on August 21 Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is furious and vows revenge.

Does Curtis discover Drew’s insurance fraud investigation scheme and blame him for Stella’s medical crisis?

Poor Stella could be in dire straits, facing an uncertain future. We predict that somehow, someway, Curtis and Drew once again reignite their feud, only this time around it could be to the death!

Spoiler alert: there is a hint trail that Drew could be the subject of a whodunit. Does Curtis (or someone else) take lethal action against Congressman Crooked?
